Ms. Days Ease RV Life #26

Today is Friday, October 11, 2019. Ralph is celebrating 18 years today! Congratulations Ralph! I sent him a text this morning.

So I voted for RVing Women Board. Here are the candidates:

3 Candidates

So it was interesting. I was trying to decide which one to vote for. I like Kat because she is with the Arizona Chapter which I will join probably if I go out to Arizona full time. Then I like the others too. So the ballot said: Vote for up to 3 but no more than 3 and since there are only 3, I voted for them all. We’ll see how that turns out.

So last night I was watching Carolyn, she has finally made it to Washington on the PCT. It is much prettier in Washington. But still, I can not see myself ever doing that. What I like about watching her videos is that it makes me appreciate my home and allows me to live vicariously through her journey. Yesterday, I didn’t get any exercise. I worked at Artsy Thrift and NO ONE came in until we decided to close at 3PM. As Martha and I were walking out a woman drove up and wanted to pick up her jewelry that she had us hold for her. It was $12. So we had a $12 day! But really, what are the chances that she would drive up just as we were walking out! She said she had driven quite a distance to get there and imagine how unhappy she would have been if she came 5 minutes later and we’d have left? AMAZING! Anyway, happy customer! Whew!

Today I’m going to Intergroup to work. It seems my work week is Thursday, Friday & Saturday. I like that because as I will show next week, I can go camping from Sunday to Wednesday and still do my “duty” to other things. I need to work on learning to use the Instant Pot. I’ve been a bit uncomfortable trying it. I’ve been watching YouTube videos on it. I want to do a “dump and leave” dish. I haven’t seen one that I’ve wanted to try. But I want to have something for next week when I go camping with Suzee.

I love this picture of Daisy:

Daisy in the Drive

I think I may bring her home next week for a day or two. I’ll ride my eBike over there, put it on the new rack and then drive home with it. I’d like to see how that works and feels driving. It will be interesting to see whether it shows up in the back up camera. The plan is to take Daisy to Koreshan and also have the eBike and Suzee’s bike on the rack. I’d like to see if my bike cover will cover both bikes. I think I should do that on Sunday. I can keep her in the driveway on Sunday night and maybe sleep in her. We’ll see. I’m looking forward to the temperature getting cooler which usually happens in October.

Cathy has made all of our reservations for the trip to Arizona in November. Here is our Itinerary:

Itinerary – November 2019

My first day is to Stephen Foster State Park. It is about a 5 hour drive. It takes me just north of I 10. So then the next day I meet up with B & C at Santa Rosa Beach. I need to work on food for this trip. I’m going to check the fridge out this coming weekend when we go to Koreshan. I’m going to see how long it takes to cool down since I’ll be level. I wish my driveway didn’t have that hill on it. It would be nice to be able to chill it down at my house before I take off. But it is what it is! I’ll take a cooler full of stuff to start and then put it in the fridge after it cools down. I hope that will be sometime on Monday the 21st. I need to ask if I can turn it on while I drive up to Estero. I mean if I’m on a long road trip, I should be able to run the fridge. So my guess is yes, but I still need to check it out. I think I’ll go through the paperwork to see if there is anything in there that explains it. I suppose I can ask the question on YouTube too! In fact, I think I’ll look for something on it now. Be right back!

I also so another video that showed using ice in the refrigerator to cool it down. I bought a number of blue ice packs for the freezer like Bill suggested. The other video mentioned using ice to cool it down. I still have 2 bags of ice from the hurricane Dorian in my freezer which I will repack into ziplocks this week so they are more flexible. So I have a project now! I’m going to go to Intergroup now. I’ll be back, perhaps. But if not, thanks for visiting!

I just watched a video from Cheap RV Living. Let me go get it. I love this woman:

Safari Condo Camper Van – from Canada

I just ordered a flute. I think I’ll see if I will be able to play it. Just bought a $10 one. I’ll contact this woman for the type she does in a workshop. Her email is: CaroleCarrier8@gmail.com. I’m putting that in here so I have a record of it.
