So today is Monday, October 21st and I am at Koreshan State Park in Estero Florida. I came in late yesterday afternoon with Suzee. Originally, we were not going to come on Sunday because the weather was so bad and I didn’t really want to set up in the rain. But as the day progressed, the weather got nicer and we came out. I am really glad that we did. I can’t believe how much quicker it is to set up with Daisy as opposed to Olivi@. Mainly, it is because it has this really great awning:

This is site number 8. It is a wheel chair accessible campsite and has a big concrete slab on it. It makes it really nice.

Many of them just have gravel and dirt sites and they are cramped. This one is big and roomy and is right off the path to the bathhouse. We don’t have a neighbor to our left, but we did last night. They moved on today and no one has moved in.
This was one of the reasons we thought we’d wait a day to come:
So while I was waiting for the rain to stop this happened:
So since the weather got better and I had paid for the night, we left at 3:30 to drive to Estero. It is only 35 minutes to the park from Naples.
This is a nice campground. There are only 60 RV Sites. There are some campsites for tents only by the river. This goes by the Estero River. It is very pretty and very rustic.
This is the bath house:

I took a nice, hot, long shower this morning. It was very pleasant. I was the only one using the place which is always nice!
Ever since I started this journey in the RV lifestyle, I’ve wanted to do this:

Olivi@ didn’t have a screen door and I had always wanted to be able to camp with the door open. And now I can. There are not many bugs here – there is a great breeze – so we can sit out under the awning and enjoy the weather – although it did get a little hot after our bike ride so we’re inside now enjoying the AC now. But I think I’ll go for a little walk in a while and take some more pictures.
So this is the blogger, Carolyn from Carolyn’s RV Life that has inspired me to do this RV lifestyle. She is finishing up a 1000 mile (although she didn’t go the entire 1000 miles) trek on the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) through Oregon and Washington. I’m glad she did it because it proved to me that it is something I will not want to do.
So this is my longer hike today:
So this morning Suzee and I were trying to figure out about the water going into the coach. We found a hose that could be used to bring water into the coach so I didn’t need to use the water in the tank. So we attached it to the fitting and turned it off and it flipped off soaking us. So this is FAIL 1.

Then Suzee decided to see how the shower worked and couldn’t figure it out but then she did: FAIL 2.

So finally for today, this is the one pretty picture I took:

So now we’re going to try to cook steaks with sweet potatoes and salad. More will be revealed.
