Today is Saturday, October 26, 2019. I will be going to the 8AM meeting and then on to Artsy Thrift. I need to keep myself busy during the next 2 weeks because I’ll be leaving on Nov. 10th for Arizona. Next week is pretty easy. I’ll be switching with Ken at Intergroup for Wednesday and our District meeting happened this week and that means my Friday is completely open. I may even go to the 8AM next Friday. We’ll see.
I think Daisy is pretty set for the trip. All I need to do is bring a couple of miscellaneous items like the Coffee maker and scoop, DVD box (I didn’t think 100 degree temps would be good for them in the long run). clothes and FOOD. I need to plan my meals. I am still having trouble with dinners. I can’t seem to get a handle on healthy dinners. I should make a couple of slow cooker meals like chili or that chicken dish in the Instant Pot. I’m sure there are other recipes I can do to get prepped. I think I’ll try to find that great veggie chili I have for the slow cooker with all of the carrots in it. I love that recipe and I could eat that a lot while on the road.
I have a little anxiety about the ticket control for the Gratitude Dinner. I will be leaving the last minute sales to Bill in the office. I plan to collect most of the tickets and money on Wednesday the 6th at our November Intergroup Meeting. Once I get all of the envelopes back, I can just keep the tickets for sale at the office. We are selling the tickets for $25 which might backfire on us since the food is costing that much which means we will need to make money on the 50/50. But another saving Grace is that we will be selling the CD’s of the Christmas Radio Show at the dinner. We should cover our costs with that – let’s hope!
We had a committee meeting yesterday and Jim said that he had the master tape and he is very pleased with it. I am so happy for him. It is truly a legacy for him! I’m just glad I “reluctantly” got involved. It turned out to be a great project and we should be very proud to be part of it. I can’t wait to hear the CD!

I love this sign. It really says it all when it comes to walking in the woods on trails. We just need to remember that!
I also found a water filter I need to get:

I just texted Bill to see what he suggests. I think I want to get this before I leave for the big trip.
So yesterday we had a flock of birds in our yard:

So the flamingo would not light up at our campground at Koreshan so we discovered that one of the bulbs was missing and Suzee found it at the door of the storage area. So when I got home I replaced it and voila:

So now I’m going to get going. I’ll be back after the meeting and I may go to the grocery store on my way home. We’ll see. If not, thanks for visiting!
