Today is Friday, November 8, 2019. I am working at Intergroup and I’ve updated my site to make it “secure” through Host Gator. They did it all for me and now life is good. Didn’t cost me a thing. So I decided to go to GODaddy to update and secure our Intergroup site. I got on with a wonderful woman named Mona. It was time to “renew” our domain anyway (got to believe that) so for $467.64 (for 3 years), aanaples.org is renewed and secure. Life is good!
So listen to this. I was doing my duty and called my sponsor this morning and was lamenting about kitty sitting and everything. Her suggestion was to go ahead and take the cats with me on this trip and don’t worry about flying back for The Gratitude Dinner. What a concept! Suzee said she hurt her back at work yesterday so that got me thinking about the whole issue of not having a cat sitter and I was thinking it might be Gods way of telling me to take the cats with me this trip. But I didn’t think about not flying back just to go to the Gratitude Dinner. Afterall, I’m just one person. Granted, I am the Chair of Intergroup and I should be there, but that makes perfect sense. No one but Bill will really miss me, and perhaps the others at my table……..but Suzan and Bette will now control the table! They need to find one more person to be at the table. Right now there are: me, Nikki, Suzee, Haven, Bette, Suzan, Diana & Sammie. So that’s it. Since Suzan is the “grand sponsor” of Nikki, Haven and Diana, she’ll need to work it out. As I said before, I just needed to “pull the plug” on taking the cats. I’m going to get Daisy ready tomorrow – pick her up this afternoon and bring her home. Clear out the shower for the kitty litter.
Continuing this today, Saturday, November 9th. I have made arrangements to go to a Harvest Host tonight in Sebring. Let me see if I can find something about it to add here. The Host is Bob Cadzow and I called to make a reservation and he texted me back that all is well and to come up. So that means I have a 2 1/2 hour drive to Sebring and I’ll be there this afternoon to see what is what. First time using Harvest Hosts.
Faded Bistro and Beer Garden:

The place is open on Saturdays until midnight. Not sure how this will work with me and the kitties for the first time, but it will be an adventure!
So this morning, I’ve turned off the water to my toilet as it has been recycling. Not sure if I’ll do the same to the other one. Haven is coming over at 9:30 to help me so maybe she will advise me to do that too. I have the sign.
It is RAINING – not hard but inconvenient! I’ll move the Jeep into the garage in a while and then pull Daisy over to the other side of the driveway so I can better access the door. If I get out of here by noon, I’ll be happy. ( I left at 12:30 – not bad!). I have to pack up the food. And bundle up the kitties! Waiting for Haven to get here at 9:30. Hopefully by then the weather will have cleared. I just unplugged the TV. I’m going to call Comcast about closing down my Internet – maybe not. Not sure about that. I can do that from the road and I’ll ask my brother Bill what he thinks.
So poor Metaxa is a little suspicious:

So I’m prepping for Haven. Pictures are down, and I’ll wait for her to help me with the clock. I think I can put the playpens and the beds for the kitties up over the cab with the pictures and the clock and the clam. I’m pretty nervous about having too much weight. But I’ll be gone for at least a month so that changes things since I was going to be gone originally for 10 days. I’ve never done this before, so I guess I’ll learn as I go.

So now I think I’ll get dressed and pack up the pictures and my bath stuff and put them in the RV. I’ll be back later.
8AM and the weather is clearing up. Temperature is just 71 degrees. Looking forward to cooler days!
I don’t think I have anything coming from AMAZON. The only thing that is going to arrive is a cart to wheel the heavy generator on. They are sending it to me for free so no telling how long that will take. I thought that was really nice of them. The woman I spoke to about my generator gave me some great hints and was very knowledgeable and nice.
I just did a video of the house on the inside so I have a record of what is in here. I’ll up load it here once it gets to YouTube. I love that process!
Adding to my list for Daisy. I’ll miss my printers!
I have now arrived in Sebring. Got here around 3:30. The drive was interesting. 75 then to 29 via something else. It was a good drive. Filled up the tank here: it was a Shell gas station.

This restaurant & beer garden is great. It used to be a nursery & the previous owners did a coffee shop & lunch place. The new guy Bob, expanded the restaurant & developed a super menu. Here is the menu.

I got the Crab Cake! With tip it cost me $20. It was worth it! It was really good! The bartender Pam was really nice & said they are #1 in this County on TripAdvisor. I’m going to write a great review on Harvest Hosts.

I think I’ll put some food in the fridge.

You sure are thorough. I plan on telling the Fellowship that you got “stuck” in Arizona and devastated that you had to miss this Gratitude Dinner (the first miss in 17 years!. We sold out the tickets. I’m not going to use that last envelope unless Jim tells me the Church can handle 330 guests. Let me know if you got this. Happy Trails.
