Today is Tuesday, November 19, 2019. We are set up at Ft. Stockton RV Park, just off I 10 in Ft. Stockton, TX. This will be our last day in Texas. My brother said that we traveled through 4 States in one day on our first day (Florida, Alabama, Mississippi & Louisiana) and then we traveled one State in 4 days (TEXAS)! So we’re getting closer! I think if Bill and Cathy were alone, they would get all the way to Benson today, but we’re doing one more overnight and then we’ll be in Benson by noon on Wednesday. That is the plan that is.
So this morning I started the water heater so I could take a shower in my rig. I had the heat on and my coffee plugged in and then the heater went off. Then I realized that the heater was off for the hot water and the coffee pot stopped working. I tried to troubleshoot it and walked out in the dark to see my surge protector and it seems to be working fine. So now I wait for my brother to get up to see if he can figure it out. So I guess that is life in an RV. But it is getting a little chilly in here! Need to get these on:

Finally found them in my closet. I’m going to try to find another type. These will do for a while, but not long term. I’ve never worn slippers before, but that’s going to change. 43 years in Florida and slippers were never needed!
Since it is Tuesday, if I were home, I’d be chairing the 8AM. Suzan is doing it for me while I’m gone. We’re texting before the meeting. She sent me this:

Love that poster! I think I brought the tee shirt on this trip, I need long sleeves I’m finding so my tee shirts are not enough. We’ll see. I already know I need more Jeans. I’m planning on “Thrift” shopping when I get to Benson!
So I’m beginning again today. I was walking around the RV Park this morning taking pictures I ran into this:
She talks like Wylie and was so nice – at least seemed to be and she was talented. I think she was hungry and thought I would feed her! Right now, Wylie is across from me in the other chair in the rig and Metaxa has jumped up into the bed over the cab which is stuffed with junk right now. She rode in the cargo hold for the entire 5 hours today. I guess she feels safe in there! Wylie just slept on the couch for the ride!
Here is a picture of the X-KOA Office:

So after this nice RV Park, we hit the road again and I was excited because we were finally GETTING OUT OF TEXAS! Here is proof:

I know it is hard to see, but it really says New Mexico! So tomorrow we’ll be home in Benson! I know everyone is really looking forward to that. Especially Bill and Cathy! They’ve traveled back and forth twice……I only did it once and I’m ready for it to be over. But I took another shower tonight so I feel so much better. My shower is DA BOMB!
So this is how our life has gone. We’ve had beautiful weather the entire trip. We get to New Mexico at the LoW-Hi RV Ranch in Deming, NM and we’re sitting outside after we have plugged in for the night and it starts to drizzle a little. Then all of a sudden the wind picks up and the rain beats down and blows around really hard. Bill and Cathy are in their rig and I’m in mine. Daisy didn’t feel a thing – just the sound of the rain which is really cool! Anyway, my point is, this storm could have hit us ON THE ROAD, but it didn’t, it waited until we were settled! We are so BLESSED!
Here are a couple of other pictures from today at the rest stop we stopped at. I love the pavillions they have along I 10. They are really nice:

Here is Daisy!

So I’ll leave you with this. I got a comment from my friend Bill about Otis having two buddies on the dash with him on this trip. I commented back that I hadn’t figured out their names yet, but would at some point. So let me introduce you to:

Because one is fat and one is skinny and they make me laugh and keep Otis company! So that’s it for tonight. Going to settle in with the kitties and listen to the rain on the roof! Thanks for visiting. Send a comment if you want!
