Today is Monday, November 25, 2019. I’m up again at 5:15 and it is still dark out. My coffee is hot and my kitties are cold. I’m enjoying my morning and listening to the local radio station. It is getting a little lighter out. I can see sunrise out of my bathroom window. The sunsets and sunrises are beautiful here – colors are crisp and clear. My phone pictures do not do them justice, but they have as much or more color than those in Florida. And having the mountains in the background is also a nice change!
I walked around the park the other day and took a few pictures. Here is a picture of one of the “common areas”.

I am having trouble uploading pictures this morning. It just “spins and spins”. Anyway, I think the park’s wifi is being over used this morning. Everyone must be using it! Oh, there it goes! So this place tries to keep people engaged. They have lots of common areas and clubhouses for eating and entertainment. I think I mentioned that we went to dinner on Friday night. As a temporary RVer here, they gave me a voucher, but it was only $5 for a nice dinner of pork tenderloin and a squash side dish and a nice salad bar. They had a nice dessert also. I gave them a $5 tip since my dinner was “free”. Bill and Cathy went also and enjoyed themselves – they usually don’t do that, but did it with me. We had a good time.
Here is another picture:

I’m sure everyone does this, but I’d like to learn about the types of cacti in this area. So this is my first one to identify. I saw one yesterday that had a lot of yellow flowers on them. I also can identify the “Barrel Cactus”. I’ll get a picture of that one today. So let me see if I can Google this one. Be right back! I think it may be the “Buckhorn Cholia”. Not sure. There is a library here so I might go check out a book on Cacti.
So this is the final picture I took the other day from around the park. I don’t think you can see the mountains in the background, but when we were driving around yesterday, you could see snow on the mountains! Wish I had brought those rubber fur lined boots I bought! Oh well, guess I’ll just have to go home to pick them up! Also I forgot my one flannel shirt so I’ll get that one too. Bill gave me one of his to wear. Thank you Bill!

I think that’s about it for now, I’ll be back later. We’re traveling to Tucson today to go to Costco. So I’ll be back.
Oh yes! I bought a GPS at Best Buy yesterday. It’s complicated, but it should be better than the iPad, but I’ll probably use them both. I need to get a holder for the iPad from Amazon. I’ll find the one that Bill and Cathy got and I’m lucky that Bill will be able to install it for me. Here is a picture of my GPS Garmin!

I’ll put the picture on it later. So we tested it at Bill’s. You talk to it by saying “Ok Garmin” and then you can talk to it as you travel. I can also hook my phone into it so I can be “hands free”. It’s pretty powerful. Lots of options. Big learning curve for me! The screen is not as big as the iPad, but bigger than my phone so it will be good I’m sure when I get used to it and learn all of the features! I need to be more able to do this and not rely on Cathy for navigation, but it’s a process!
Trip to Tucson today to hit Costco! Just like the one in Naples! Crazy busy! I bought salt free cashews and blueberries. Bill & Cathy bought more! Home now for the afternoon and a nap. Working on charging my Garmin and reading the manual. UGH! Someone’s got to do it! Thanks for visiting!
