Ms. Days Ease RV Life #77

Good Morning Everyone! Today is Sunday, January 12, 2020. It’s 4:19AM in Arizona and 6:19AM in Florida. I kept the clock on my computer on Arizona time so that I know when to contact Bill and Cathy! So this happened yesterday: (A day late btw due to a migraine!)

Bye Bye Otis2

So the name of the transit company is Molina and Son. Mario Molina is the driver and his wife is his helper. Their daughter Gisela makes the phone contact. They live in Lehigh Acres. Their truck holds 9 cars. I found a Harry Potter book in one of my drawers that I never and never will read, so I gave it to them. She loved it and said she will give it to her grandson and proceeded to show me the pictures of her beautiful grand children! So maybe Otis2 will arrive safe and sound! I didn’t like that they didn’t lock the car and that it was on the back of the truck. But they are picking up a couple of other cars so Otis2 will probably move on the truck. So I videoed the process:

Holy Cow!

When we were on the side of the road, a woman came over to them and was looking for her Lexus on a truck and swore that the car on the top row was hers. She was looking for her car since about 11 AM in the morning and it was now 6PM. She was a wreck! Wanted them to open the door and see if it was her car – it was ultimately going to Detroit! The poor woman was fit to be tied! Luckily, her friend was driving her, so she convinced her that it wasn’t her car. Poor woman! So then this happened:

A UTURN!

I did decide to take a risk and send a couple of things in the back of Otis2. I sent my dustbuster, heavy black rubber boots and a coat that I got from Janet when I was in Boston and it got cold & I only had Florida clothes. Also there was a “gym” bag in there – which has never been used, but was available if I ever got motivated to go to Anytime Fitness! Maybe when I’m on the road?

In Jeep for ride to Arizona

I have also started to send things to Bill & Cathy so I don’t need a suitcase on my trip out. So far I’ve sent 4 boxes. It’s cost me $70 so far. It’s going by USPS in “if it fits it ships” boxes which can be traced. Cheaper than bigger boxes at UPS. So I’m going to send a couple of others before I take off next Friday. I have to remember that Daisy doesn’t have a lot of room in her, but I think I’m doing OK. I may need to have a “garage” sale when I get to Benson!

Speaking of garage sales – I’ve put a few things on FB for sale. Here they are:

Kayak for sale

And:

Kayak Stuff

I offered it for $50 and got a bunch of buyers, so I guess it was a real steal! Anyway, Jill Mesner is the lucky winner and she’ll pick it up today this afternoon.

I’m going to go to the 8AM now. I’ll be back!

I also posted my roller blades for sale:

Roller Blades etc!

No bites on this yet. Then I also have my bike for sale:

Bike 2

Marie Metchear is going to buy this for $25 on Tuesday when we meet to go over the District 20 stuff.

Then there is also the kitty shelves:

Kitty Shelves

Suzee took one of them.

Then there is this:

Helmet

I had a buyer for this at $25 and took it to her and she decided she didn’t like it on her head so now I’m back to square 1. I’ve contacted 3 other people that were interested but nothing so far. Maybe I’ll get a buyer yet.

I also put this on FB Marketplace:

Steel enforced Mesh Harley Jacket

So one of the major reasons I’m leaving Florida is that when I was storing Olivi@ in the garage, I was concerned about the heat in there. It got up over 100 degrees with 100% humidity and I just hated leaving her there. So I’ve been packing up and putting the boxes in the garage while I’m here. It occurred to me that I could come home later when it gets obsessively hot here and move the boxes from the garage into the guest room while the place is “shown”. Well, since I’ve gotten here, it was beautiful for 2 days last week and now it’s HOT, HOT. HOT and humid again so I’ve moved all the boxes into the guest room now. I just didn’t want bugs to move into the boxes and have everything moldy once it gets to where it’s going eventually. So I did this instead:

Air Conditioned Storage Unit for FREE!

Well, that’s about it for now. I’m going for a walk. I found a pedometer in my packing up, so now I’m trying for 10K steps a day. We’ll see how that goes. So thanks for visiting. Enjoy your day!
