Olivi@ & Otis RV Life #10

Good Wednesday Morning,

So I’m home now and still “high” on my camping trip.  Still dreaming about it and saving pictures and printing pictures and enjoying life with Olivi@ in the garage.  I put the foam topper on the bed and went out and rested on it the other day.  I made up the bed and Wylie jumped in and joined me.  I think she’ll be on a trip with me one day.  I’m still waiting for her playpen.  Wonder if it will ever come.  I should know better than to buy those things off of FB!  Anyway, I’ll get one someday.

So here is a picture from our trip to Lake June In Winter:

Lake June Sign

It was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky!  Such a pretty place!  We went on a hike, looking for wild boar.  Never saw one, but saw where they had dug up the ground looking for grubs.  This was an interesting thing:

This was a solar powered recycling compost toilet.  It was pretty amazing.  It was big inside and did not have that horrible smell that there is in regular port-a-johns.  We’ll be using that type at our Corrections Picnic on December 2nd.  I really don’t like those things!  I’ll be walking over to the regular bathroom.

Here is another picture from Lake June In Winter:

We were the only ones in this spot.  When we were driving out, another car drove in.  Such a great thing!  Here is another picture of Suzan and Bette.  I love this picture of them:

After Lake June In Winter, we drove into Lake Placid.  That is an interesting town.  There are murals painted on the sides of the buildings.

Here is one:

One of our “favorites” had bears and bees that was interactive with sounds.  It was really cool.  Next time, we think we’ll try to spend more time walking around the town and going to a little restaurant for lunch.

So I was thinking about my camping trip and the costs associated with it.  My first trip this year to Yellowstone cost me $1900 with airfare and rental car.  Next was my trip to Savannah.  It cost me $1500 with airfare, rental car, & house costs.  The camping trip cost me $150!  SO I guess I’ll be doing the camping thing from now on.  It has been an expensive year with trading in my KIA for the JEEP and then buying Olivi@ but it will be worth it in the long run.  I am so happy I found this beautiful camper!

So this just happened:

Wylie in Olivi@

She climbed up there all by herself without any coaxing from me.  I think she likes hanging out in there!  That really makes me happy!

I need to get going.  Need to write up my minutes for the Corrections Committee, design and print tickets for the Sisters event in February, and work on the Picnic P & L for this year.  Plus since I’m giving up my position on the Corrections Committee, I need to write up my job description for the next secretary.  So stuff to do.  Plus I want to do my Sit N Cycle for exercise today.

Life is Good!

Thanks for visiting.  See you next time!
