Today is Wednesday, March 6th. I’m leaving tomorrow morning for Ross Prairie with Suzan and Bette. We’re meeting up with a group of RV Women. We’ve never done that, but want to check it out. It’s a group of women who solo camp and get together for rallies. Most of the women will be a a different campground, but we’re at Ross Prairie about 10 miles away. There is supposed to be at least one other woman camping where we are as “overflow”. It is about 4 hours north of Naples, on 75 near Gainesville. I thought I would start this blog as I’m mostly ready and packed up, but I’m anxiously waiting for my back awning to arrive. I sold my big 10 X 10 Pahaque tent to Hal from Bradenton. He was the first one to contact me about it, but I didn’t think it would work on his T@B. He said his daughter has a T@G so he wants to use it for both campers. I think it will be great. I sold it cheap, but it ultimately paid for my back awning and bike rack. I finally got a bike rack that will fit on the front of the camper and also into the hitch on the car. Here is a picture of it:

I received a little “receiver” and it fits on the tray, right up next to the crank. I need to get it attached with screws I need to buy at Home Depot. It didn’t come with any screws so it won’t be going with me on this trip. I think I’ll work on it when I get home next week. I’ll see what it is that Steve Kirby got from the trailer guy next to him.
So I’m really excited about my back awning for over the kitchen. Here is a picture of what my camp “should” look like at Ross Prairie (minius the little girl):

I’m really excited about getting this today. It is supposed to arrive today and it’s 4PM and hasn’t arrived yet, but I am still hopeful. If I don’t get it for some reason, I’ll take the Cool Cabana with me.
So yesterday I went to the dentist and look who was there at the same time:

I wanted to take the picture to send to Lily to tease her about still working! What are the chances! Funny how life is!
OK, I’m going to stop now. Going to rest a little and wait for the UPS Guy. I’ll continue this tomorrow at the camp.
So we are now at Ross Prairie! This is us leaving!

We got here around 3:30. It was a long drive but pretty easy! Straight up I75 toward Gainesville to Dunnellon. We made it to the “meet & greet” & found out about the pontoon boat ride. We’re going at 9:30 tomorrow (Friday). Then we’re going to go into town that looked really cute when we drove through it today. This area is really nice! Big open land – not over built like Naples! Plenty of space for horses. The campground we’re staying at is apparently “new”. Not a lot of trees so I’m grateful that it is cooler here! The sun was pretty brutal on the drivers side. I did get my tent up before it got too dark. I’ll work on it better tomorrow when we have more time. I got the chairs done along with the rug & 3 tables. I’m going to set up the coffee in there tomorrow morning & sit and enjoy the morning out of the camper. Here is my first picture from this morning. It’s not on this iPad, I’ll have to email it…..be right back!

I can’t get over how much easier it is to upload pictures from this iPad! But the typing is harder, so I guess it’s a trade off, but maybe not! The picture ease is better! Well, going to bed now. It’s been a long day! I’ll continue tomorrow. Maybe start another post. We’ll see. Stay tuned!
