Olivi@ & Otis RV Life #44

OK, so today is “National Melanoma Awareness Day” and I’m getting a spot taken off my nose. That must say something, plus maybe it will be “FREE” because of it! I doubt it. Anyway, Bette and Suzan said they would drive me to the appointment which is really nice. I wasn’t thinking I would need that, but if they are willing then I guess I should take advantage of that. They should be here at any moment so I’ll get back to this after the appointment.

In the meantime – just got back from a trip to Boston. April was a “travelin’ fool” month. We went camping, then drove back from New Mexico and then Boston! Whew – too much in one month! While Suzee and Midnight were here, they brought fleas! So bummed out! I’m combing Wylie constantly and hopefully I won’t have to “bomb” the place. I may need to do that, but we’ll see.

Here are a couple of pictures of us from Boston. We stayed with Janet. I was on an air mattress so it seemed like camping!

Boston 1

Here we are again:

Boston 2

I fell in love with Janet’s dog, Maddie, (Madison). She was so cute! A cockapoo. Cocker Spaniel/Poodle Mix. Only 2 years old. Thought she was a “lap dog”. She didn’t bark much. She was adorable!

Madison the Lap Dog!

We had a blast in Boston. Janet was great to be with. Our brunch at Jenn’s was really nice and our time in Boston was great. We’re planning our next trip for May 2020. Las Vegas and The Grand Canyon.

I’ve seen a small Airstream that I am interested in. Let me see if I can find a picture of it to put here:

Airstream Sport

It is an Airstream Sport. Brand new it’s $35K. I bet I could get one cheaper used. I just need to find it used and I can trade in Olivi@. But as I told Bette & Suzan, I’m not ready to do that yet. I still love Olivi@. But when it’s time, this is the one I want! But now I have an obsession to work on!

Just got back from the dematologist. He had to dig out 3 times. It took about an hour and a half to get it all done. Bette & Suzan drove me. Now I need to keep my head level. No bending over. He showed me the stitches. He had to bring over a flap of skin so that it wouldn’t bring up my nostril. I could tell he was doing some great work. It is covered by a bandage right now which is beige colored. Can’t tell from a distance that anything was done. Now I feel like Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman!

Hugh & I have something in common
My Nose

Now I think I’ll go make my lunch and sit on the porch and enjoy the day. I’ll put a picture of my nose without the bandage tomorrow. It really looks amazing. Dr. Ross is quite creative in the way he sewed me up. I’ll count the stitches tomorrow but I bet it’s at least 15 or so!

Here is a picture of the stitches:

Scar

12 Stitches – like the 12 Steps.

So today I’m glad that I’m at home so I can heal this surgery. I am waiting for the Generator from 4Patriots. I got one package yesterday with the solar panels and other items. The solar panels are really heavy – but have a handle to carry them. I’m going to try to set them up in the driveway since my driveway gets so much sun much of the day. Then I’m going to plug in the generator and experiment with it to learn how it works. Since I won’t be going out much this week – until I have to work the store on Thursday – it is a good week for this surgery to happen along with waiting for the delivery – it needs a signature and I just tracked it and it is suppose to arrive today. YAY!

So I think the kitties know something is awry:

Lap Cats

They don’t usually share a space. Especially Wylie. She only stays so long and then takes off. But this morning I had to move before they would. It was so sweet.

I guess that’s about it for now. I may be back later if I get bored just “hanging” around. I hope the UPS guy comes early. I know I’ll be getting cabin fever. I might go out and see how the solar panels work. We’ll see! Thanks for visiting. See you next time!
