So today is Tuesday, May 14th. I got up today & said I would power wash my lanai. And I did! That is really something! I’ve found in retirement that I don’t always do what I say I’m going to do. I find excuses for doing things! I don’t like that discovery though, so getting it done today is a prize! So this is how it looked when I began:

See how built up the dirt is! Metaxa loves to roll in the dirt so it was definitely time to get on it! I watched Wilham, my neighbor spraying out his porch yesterday & it made me think I should get “on” it. I’ve been procrastinating-huge character defect! So you can see in this picture my pressure washer. It took me a while to get it working but once I did, it was pretty easy! So this is the end result:

I even got a picture of Wylie in the nice, beautiful clean lanai! So HAPPY! It isn’t perfect, but it’s pretty darn good. I have a few stains on the floor. I might put some bleach on those to see if I can get rid of them! So now I’m ready for the rainy season. I won’t do it again for 6 months or more, we’ll see!
I’m sitting in Olivi@ with the AC on & it’s

Not bad when you consider I started at 89 degrees. I wonder how cold I can get it? Suzan & Bette leave their AC on in T@Blue when she is stored in their carport.
So I have some exciting news! I went out on Mother’s Day with John King. He is a guy from the rooms. I met him when he first moved here come to find out. I thought he was nice but never considered “dating”. But the other day he texted me this:

So that was out of the blue. Nice. So we met at Publix, picked up a salad & some chips & went to Bayfront park by Windstar & ate. It was a beautiful, breezy night. We saw lots of Dolphins in the water & it was a lot of fun. So tonight he invited me to his place. I’m bringing the salad which I need to go buy, so I’m off. More will be revealed.
We had a great dinner of Mahi & a wonderful marinade with a salsa mixed with mustard & pesto. It was delicious! Salad was nice too. I really like his home. It’s at Naples Land Harbour off of Palm Street. It’s on the water, although his home is not, which makes it much more affordable. His place is beautiful. Makes me realize my place is pretty cluttered. So he might be joining me at Chokoloskee. It would be better if I didn’t go there alone, it would be fun to explore with someone, plus he has fishing equipment! It’s gonna cost him $130 a night for a rental. I may move my resie back a day & he can have more time off. So we’ll leave on Sunday after church. I’ve decided not to be concerned if he’s 6 years younger. It’s gonna be fun!
