Olivi@ & Otis RV Life #69

Good Morning Everyone.

I am trying to do a blog each day for a while. I’m still trying to make a decision about my next chapter. I sat out in the Clam this morning and drank some coffee. I have found that I can upload my videos from my phone faster than any other way. So this morning I did a video this morning with me and the kitties! Actually, this is from yesterday afternoon.

So now I’m going to do this for the videos. I think I’ll try to do one with my phone and then add it here. This is quicker than the Computer and the iPad. So I think I’ll go into YouTube and work to rename them. I know there will be many more things I’ll learn along the way.

I can’t figure out how to edit a video – especially the name of it. I’m thinking I want to organize the videos in the future for research purposes. I think I’ll learn some things from Tom Kepler from Green Goddess Glamping. He just sent an email about reorganization and I think he’ll respond to my questions. So I’m listening to Carolyn on YouTube on her Live from PCT Q & A. It is interesting.

Here is a picture from last night’s sunset:

Suzee gave me the lights and one of the lights doesn’t work very well. I’m charging them again today and I’m hoping 8 hours will do the trick again. I’ll let you know how it works.

Why a VAN

So I’m thinking about this. I am just not ready to make a decision and this video has given me something to think about. An RV may be too much for me. I’d like to have a lot of freedom and it will allow me to get places an RV can not go. I’ve seen van-dwellers with cats! Plus I have so much equipment (4 Tents!) I think I have everything I need with Olivi@. She is so comfortable. Again, there are too many choices. That is the dilemma! As I’m learning with Uncluttered, if there are too many choices then you become paralyzed by by those choices. I need to remain patient. That is one problem I have. I should give myself a year or more to just travel around the country with Olivi@ and Otis. I could have Suzee live in the house and let me go without the kids at first. I need to go for an extended time to get used to the whole process. I think at times that I can just “hop into a Class C” and I’ll be all set. Once I get that, I can’t be sure I’ll like that. Right now I am happy with Olivi@ and Otis. I can bring her everywhere and I can even boondock at a Walmart or probably a Cracker Barrel instead. Who knows. I have been told that many State Parks always hold back sites for walk ins and since Olivi@ is so small, I can fit most everywhere. So I should consider taking an extended trip out to Arizona with Olivi@ and then get a sense of what it all entails to be a NOMAD and get out west to the BLM lands. I want to be in places that are not so HOT & HUMID & BUGGY!
