Good Morning Everyone! Starting a new blog today. Not sure where it will go, but that is half the fun!
Genie is in Peru. Here is a picture she sent of Machu Picchu!

Jack got new tires for the Corvette. He is selling the wheels that were removed:

We have the coolest garage. Jack is meticulous in keeping it neat and orderly. It also has carpet on the perimeter which is nice for walking out there in bare feet! I just love those little details about this house.
I have a bone density and mammogram today. So far, I’m pretty impressed by my new medical group. They ordered all of the tests, including a Cologuard (which was pretty gross) and then these two. The place I’m going put the appointments back to back. So it should be pretty simple – at least we’ll see – time will tell! Time to go to my meeting.
Did I tell you we decided to cut back to 3 days a week? Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday beginning next week on October 1st. I think that will be great. I may go to the F2F meetings on Main, here in Mesa. I think there is a noon meeting. I would love it if there was a 9 or 10 AM meeting. I’ll keep you posted on that.
Pat is in Tahoe. Here is a picture of where she is. I’m jealous!

I think it’s a relative’s home. Next she is going to Idaho. So I’ll just live vicariously through her adventures. There are times I wish I was on my own, but I know this way of life is better for me. Anyway, I’m committed and it’s important to remind myself of that. Besides, I wouldn’t have this if I was on my own:

Was looking back at old blogs and ran across this from January 1, 2024:

This is from Genie after her 12 hour bus trip. At least she survived that! Lake Titicaca.
We had a beautiful Sunrise this morning, September 27, 2024:

When I walk, I run into a lot of the same people. Here are Fred & Henry:

Henry is the Great Dane, Fred is his dad!
Saw this flowering cactus this morning on my walk also:

Bill and Cathy went camping. Beautiful!!!

When I go to Cottonwood next week to Dead Horse Ranch State Park, I want to go here:

That means I’ll hit 2 State Parks and can pin them on my State Park Map. That’s pretty cool! It’s supposed to be in the 90’s during the day so I’m debating about taking Metaxa. I may need to run the A/C all day while I’m away from the rig. I’m wondering if I should do that. I really like her with me on these trips. She is such good company and seems to be OK with it. What do I know!
Hurricane Helene hit the East Coast over the weekend. Even Suzee was impacted up in North Carolina! Just what she needs! She is out of electricity and says she has a roof leak! Poor thing!
Here is another place I might be able to ride my bike to:

Jennifer sent another great picture of Maggie and Drew!

Today is the first day of October. I was hoping it would be cooler, but we’ll be in triple digits again. It’s going to be hot in Cottonwood, so I’m leaving Metaxa here while I go camping. Maybe by the end of October and we are at Catalina, I’ll be able to take her. My fingers are crossed!
