So I’ve arrived at Cattail Cove State Park. It’s really a great State Park, right on the Colorado River near Lake Havasu. It was quite a drive up here. I came a few years ago. I’ll try to find that blog post, and I didn’t remember the drive here. It took me straight through Quartzsite. Don’t think I came up that way before. Let me see if I can search for that blog post.
Here is the blog post. We’re going to go to the same restaurant this time I believe:
RV Life with DAISEE2 #40 Thursday, February 2, 2023 – wyliesavesme.com | wyliesavesme.com
I just got back from Happy Hour. There are around 30 of us at this rally. We’re all over the place. I like being in my spot. Here is the view from my spot.

Just past the site in front of me you can see the BEACH on the CO River:

I am totally level without any help:

DAISEE2 got REALLY DIRTY on the way here – mostly just the back end, I did rinse it off while it was still wet, but it looks pretty bad:

I’m trying something different. I didn’t like the Starlink on the picnic table so I’m putting it on the front of DAISEE2. There may be some obstructions, but I’m not sure. I just think if it is on the hood of DAISEE2 no one would have the nerve to steal it. But who knows. I’m hearing stuff falling on the roof of the rig. I rolled up the awning while it was wet with leaves on it tonight, so I’m hoping the weather will cooperate tomorrow so I can put it out and dry it out. I probably should not have opened it today. Anyway, we’ll see how it works out. Now let me see if I have access to YOU TUBE by my Starlink.
Beginning this again on Valentine’s Day! Happy Valentine’s Day! One year ago today we were moving to MESA! It’s been a whole year! WOW! Jack hid a card in DAISEE2 for me:

Well the sun is out and I’m drying my awning. Here is my site:

This is how the Starlink is now!

This is my view at the end of my site! BEAUTIFUL!

Next year I have Site 38:

We went for a hike today. It was awesome. What views!

My neighbor left and now I can really see the beach.

We went to the same restaurant at the London Bridge and this was my lunch:

It was very tasty. Here is proof of the London Bridge:

Sunset tonight:

Beginning again on 2/15/25 on Saturday morning. Today we go kayaking. It is pretty cold this morning – 54 in and out!

Metaxa got me up a number of times (6?) and now she sleeps!

Jenn posted a new profile picture to FB – now that is unusual! She hates her picture taken and she blasts it all over the internet!
So now I’m drinking coffee, Metaxa is on my lap and all is good in the world. I’m dressed for Kayaking but it’s gonna be cold. One hour until we leave.

It was fun this morning, but got a little windy so I came back after 1/2 hour. I thought I was going to flip at one point so I was happy to get to dry ground. Here is another picture:

This is Shannon. She and I might go to Yellowstone in 2026.

I walked Sally while Sue was at the fireworks. She is a great dog!

Watched this and decided to volunteer with the group at some point: Peter Santenella is so great. This is all about Phoenix. We’ll see if they every contact me.
Beginning this again at 5:15 AM on Sunday, February 16th. It’s the last day of the rally, but I’m staying until Monday. I’m up for my meeting since it is the Business Meeting and I’m chairing that. Anyway, I have a bit of time this morning before it starts. SO let’s start with the temps:

It has been pretty consistent each day. Last night Sue sent me a picture of the fireworks. I’m still glad I didn’t go. They weren’t back until 9PM!

I videoed from Waggle this morning. Look at this!
If you look you can see Metaxa on my lap!
Sue and I went on a 4 mile hike today and it was awesome, but I will be HURTING tomorrow or the next day. I just took 2 aspirins so I hope it will help. I’m slowly packing up for tomorrow’s departure. I need to DUMP poor DAISEE2 – she stinks a little! The hike was to Rovey’s Needle. Let me try to get a map to it:
I’m not sure why it is showing the distance from Cattail Cove, but the time and mileage are correct. My phone ran out of battery so that could be one reason.
The Hike was really good and I have some great pictures of it;

I was told that minerals created this beautiful look. I got many pictures of it. The next picture is THE NEEDLE:

We climbed through the needle and hiked around the other side. There was a LOT OF CLIMBING!

I’m going to close this now. It’s been a wonderful experience. Oh yea, I have a YOUTUBE video:
Today is Monday, February 17 – it’s President’s Day! Today’s Temperatures:

Pretty consistent each day! It’s lovely to wake up to these temperatures!
Found this on YOUTUBE last night. Started watching it. Will finish it at home!
Here are a few more pictures from our wonderful 4 mile hike!

That is April – a great guide and teacher!

A rickety bench for us old folks!

This is a better picture of the map of Rovey’s Needle. Makes more sense! SO Today, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, we’re going to meet up with JACK who wants to look at the Silver JEEP. Wish us luck. I think he’ll buy it, but I have a couple of others who have expressed an interest also, so I think it will go this week. I’m going to close this out for now. Will probably start a new blog later. Thanks for visiting!
