Good Morning Everyone. Beginning a new blog this morning. My day is starting off like this:

Ziggy is doing “his” thing! Such a great little cat. He is very sweet but can be a little crazy at times. Always trying to cause a little trouble in the house!
Jack found this on Market Place. I’m trying to convince Pat Bullard to buy it. It is SO DARN CUTE!

Spring is all over – saw this on my walk today: Suzee sent these from North Carolina:

I injured my shin when I changed the battery in my weather station in DAISEE2 on Sunday. So I haven’t been hiking. Today (after 6 days) I finally walked my two mile neighborhood route.

I still like hiking in the desert, but it’s triple digits today and tomorrow, so that isn’t going to happen. We’re looking forward to cooler temperatures shortly. Jack is getting his other eye operated on for cataracts on Monday, the 14th. I’m leaving for Willcox on Thursday the 17th for 3 nights. I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures. It’s to a KOA so I can take Metaxa and I will. I love having her with me. She seems to tolerate it pretty well.

Jack found another camper. Even better than the last one because it was newer with modern amenities. Roof A/C, Slide out, new tires etc. I’d get it if I could. Just looked for it and I can’t find it again. Probably sold.
Ziggy took a nap with me today – Taxi was in the closet!

Leaving tomorrow for my trip to Willcox. Getting very excited about it. Going out shortly to turn on the fridge.
As Mel Fisher would say “today’s the day!”. I’m leaving to go to the KOA in Willcox. I called them yesterday to say I wanted to be away from the highway and she assured me that I was as far away as possible. I’m thinking that I’ll still hear the highway noise, but maybe not so much. Time will tell.

I’ll let you know which site I’m in when I get there. I guess that is it for now. See you later!
Gas fill up at exit 302 in Benson – Love’s:

Made it to the KOA in Willcox. Easy drive. Only was on I 10 from Tucson. I’m going back that way on Sunday. My GPS did not like the route. It kept telling me to turn around. I just finally turned it off and used my phone through Tucson (past Catalina State Park on Oracle). It is just as windy – if not more so in Willcox as Benson. This is my view from behind:

This is my front view:

So I have the windshield cover on the cab. It will be interesting to see what happens at night here.

At least I have a tree for shade. It’s nice. While I do this, DAISEE2 and we are shaking. I hope the wind let’s up but it is better than TOO HOT without wind. I’m glad I’m settled and not driving! I doubt I’ll ride my bike. The site is rocks – no concrete or asphalt.

DAISEE2 waiting in MESA to depart. Left at 9AM and arrived at KOA in Willcox at 1:00.
Just got back from the Meet and Greet. The temperature has dropped, but the wind is brutal. Metaxa is on my lap keeping me warm. I think the wind might be slowing down a little.

Luci the Lizard is the mascot for the group. Fun activity for the whole event.
My neighbors are two women in an RPOD. They said it’s a piece of shit – the slide broke. One is from Mesa and the other is from Florida. The one from Florida owns it but is going to sell and go back to Florida. Not interested in RVing. I think they are both recent widows.

Good morning everyone. It’s Friday, April 18, 2025. These are my temps this morning:

No wind this morning, but the highway is busy this morning. It’s a shame this park is so close to I 10, but that is how KOA’s are supposed to be. This is a pretty nice one. Nicer than the one in Benson, if I remember correctly. Some big ole rig just turned on their generator – ick! Oops – he was leaving early – big Class A Phaeton!
Shannon is doing a 100 day walking challenge so I thought I would try it too. Here is DAY 1:

Today, April 18th is Bill and Cathy’s 33rd Anniversary!

They have added Winston to their family! Very cool dog!

We drove into Willcox for the “tour”. It was pretty depressed. But we stopped at a museum.

Then we stopped at Apple Annies: All things Apple. I bought some stickers and some Apple Butter:

We did a little craft activity today. It was to macrame a handle on a water bottle. This is how it came out. I LOVE IT!

Today is Saturday, April 19th and these are the temperatures we woke to:

Turned on the furnace for a few minutes and now I have the Little Buddy heater on to keep it warm. It’s toasty now. It’s raining this morning but I think it won’t rain for long. I’m so glad I don’t have to walk a dog in the rain.

Bought this at Apple Annies. I bought some Apple Butter too along with a couple of stickers!
We’re going to Chiricahaua National Monument today. Leaving about 9. Enjoying coffee right now and it’s 7 so I have time to relax and enjoy the morning. Stopped raining and now the sky is turning blue, so it should be a good day.
Last night’s sunset:

The sun is on the mountains now and it is beautiful. A big Class A came in yesterday late and is blocking my view a little, but at least it isn’t RIGHT NEXT to me. That is so good!
We adventured to Chiricahua National Monument today. It was really cold and windy so our hike was pretty short. It was beautiful up there though!

There was even SNOW up there. I rode up with Shannon and Sara:

This was the drive up there:
This is my new neighbor!

It’s EASTER morning, Sunday, April 20, 2025. These were my temps this morning:

It was actually 49 inside, this was taken after the furnace had run for a few minutes. We were COLD! It is now 61 in here with the little Buddy Heater on. I’ll turn it off shortly. I’m enjoying my coffee with Metaxa on my lap. I made it to our meeting and our business meeting this morning. So I’ve been up for a while!
Diana sent me this today: HAPPY EASTER FROM FLORIDA!

The Easter Bunny visited this morning:

Here is a great picture from Deb at Chiricahau National Monument:

Filled up again in Florance – still cheaper than MESA.

I think that does it for this blog. I’ll start a new one in a few days! Thanks for visiting!
