RV Life with DAISEE2 #13 Monday, April 4, 2022

Good Morning everyone.  It’s been almost a month since I’ve blogged.  We’ve been busy!  The time change has happened in the east so I’m getting up at 4:15 AM to get to the meeting.  The sun is rising now around 6AM which is different also and sunset is a little after 6PM.  We closed on our home in Tucson.

Well I’m having problems inserting pictures.  Let me get it another way!

View from our backyard

We have been travelling back and forth to bring items to the house and also clean up the garage etc.  It’s fun setting up the house.  So far, I’ve put stuff away in the kitchen and Jack has worked on the storage in the garage.  I have been thinking about my new “den”.  I’m going to have my couch in there along with my desk and book shelf and perhaps my TV.  That is yet to be determined.  We have set April 25th for the movers to come to take Jack’s things to the house.  On Tuesday, we plan to bring the kitties to their new home.  Right now, we’ve ordered new carpeting for the master bedroom.  The timing on that is going to be interesting.  We’re hoping it gets in before the 25th but that is in doubt.

Puzzles

I’m still doing puzzles on my iPad.  They are really ZEN like.

Jack sold his home to Larry and Beth Syes.  They are here at CT-RV.  They have 2 fifth wheels and will be selling one of them plus probably their lot in the LOA.  They plan to put the RV in front of the house so they can keep an eye on it.  They may buy that lot in order to hold it there.  Yesterday, Kevin and Linda (they bought Mama Bear) expressed to Bill that they would be interested in my house when I sell.  So now I have 2 interested parties – them and Rich Craine.  I’d like to sell it to Rich because I think he would be a great neighbor for B & C, but I’m not sure it’s right for him.  We’ll see.  Right now there is too much to do before I can sell the house.

We need to find a place to store DAISEE2.

I love this picture of DAISEE2.  It was taken by my neighbor across the street after a rainstorm here.  I didn’t even know at the time there was a Rainbow – a double one at that.  LOVE THIS!!!!!!

So I bought a castle for Metaxa:

Cardboard Castle

You know how cats like to sit in open boxes. Well, this castle is all cardboard. They say it “soothes” them. Who knows, but the catnip helps a little too I think. Anyway, I’m thinking it might be good for Odie so he can have a place to hide since our bed will be different at the Tucson townhouse. It’s going to be an interesting journey to Tucson!

Metaxa likes to sit on my lap when I’m on ZOOM or working at the computer – like now!

Sleeping on my lap!

I picked a carpet that reminds me of Metaxa’s fur. It is similar to the carpet I have in my house here in Benson. I like that it won’t show stains. AKA – cat puke!

One thing about being out here – beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  Like Florida that way:

The other day (Saturday) when we were in Tucson working on the townhouse, I figured if I put my couch on the wall in my den, I would have this view out my door. LOVE THAT FLOOR!

Wood floor in Tucson

There are a couple of bad spots in it – a leak by the fireplace and other issues by the door, but overall it’s so PRETTY. I’m trying to imagine it with my Oriental carpet over it. First thing we did was take down those whorehouse curtains!

Bill and Cathy are on their way to Yellowstone. Here is a video of their departure:

Bye Bye for 7 months

Here is their view on the first night north of Phoenix.  Jack and I should go there:

View of Lake Pleasant at Lake Pleasant Regional Park

There are wild donkeys at this park. So cool. Can’t wait to have DAISEE2 on the road again. It will be a while though because Jack has a procedure to do on his heart and we need to settle in at the house in Tucson. But DAISEE2 will be safe in Benson while that happens.

The other day when we went to Tucson with a truck load, we went to lunch at Culver’s. Here is our view from the restaurant:

Beautiful Mountain View from Culver’s

Still doing puzzles. LOVE THAT APP!
