Hello everyone! Starting a new blog because the last one got too long and my computer has been in the shop for a week. I really missed it. I needed to take notes on things that I had done so I can remember to update everything now that I have the computer back – much faster than expected. I am so happy about that!

Jack and I finally cleaned her up after my last trip that got a little rain. She is now very shiny and BRIGHT!
Jack has been watering the new SLAB on the garage side of the house. We’ll be able to drive on it over Memorial Day which is one year to the day that our first slab was ready. The good news this time is that I didn’t have to cancel any trips and my next one is to Sharp Creek on the 4th of June for 4 nights (it’s really 5 nights but I promised Jack I wouldn’t go for longer than 4 nights – compromise!). Anyway, I’m going to check the weather because I want to take Metaxa but it’s dry camping and the weather can’t be too hot during the day for her. I don’t want to run my A/C.
I’m still doing my 100 day workout challenge and have moved it indoors:

I’m using the treadmill at DVRC workout room. It’s great. I’m all alone in there and watch videos on my phone while walking. The A/C is super and there is a nice fan to keep the air moving.

This is how our new slab looks after 1 week:

Since 2009, I’ve spent over $34K with Amazon. I started a spreadsheet to continue watching how much I spend with them. Not sure why I want to know, but we’ll see how it goes. There is a way to get that information (and a lot more) from them. Just goes to show how much they know about you!
Day 24

Daily Dose of Cuteness!

Bill sent me this video of snow in YNP – trying to scare me not to come next year!
Beaches got together in Boston without me this time, but Jennifer showed up. They look so good and look like they were having a great time:

Maybe we’ll all get together next time!
Another pictures of the Girls!

One more with just Jenn and Suzanne:

DAISEE2 is having issues with the A/C. It suddenly dropped the temperature to 65 degrees when I had set it at 79. Then when I tried to turn it off, it made a noise that kept going after it was off. When I unplugged it at the 30 Amp, it stopped the noise, so now I’m going to take it to State Trailer tomorrow (Wednesday) to have them check it out. I hope it’s covered by the extended warranty. I’ll keep you posted on that! Of course it did not make the noise while at the shop so I paid $180 for nothing and it is fine now. It’s only money!
Jack is trading his 2005 Corvette (plus a bit of money) for this 1958 Thunderbird:

This is his friend Kenny’s shop in Tempe! The car in the center is “one of a kind”! He showed me the 3 cars he used to make it. The color isn’t quite right in this picture, but it was BEAUTIFUL!

He started out with a station wagon and cut it apart. He has pictures of the build. Jack would KILL for a shop like this. It was pretty cool. The other car in the shop was a modern Corvette that looked like a Ferrare – not a corvette at all. I couldn’t figure out how to open the door!
Daily Dose of Cuteness – when she was a kitten in Tucson:
I had to start my workout today on a bike and then moved to the Treadmill. There was a woman RUNNING on the treadmill when I arrived. Anyway, I got my 29th day on the 100 day challenge completed.

I spent $210 on a new backup camera for DAISEE2. It’s AMAZING. I’ve installed it on the Dashboard and the two cameras stick to the back bumper and the front of the truck with very strong magnets. The cameras have big solar panels on them to keep them charged. The monitor splits the screen and shows both cameras. I put it right over the radio on the shade piece over it and it fits perfectly. I’m really impressed with the quality.
I made my own video of my install:
I remember now where I found this camera. I wanted to see if there was such a thing at State Trailer. It was $450 there so I went on Amazon and found 2 cheaper versions and decided on this one. It was $210. AND it is amazing. Can’t wait to go camping next week to use it!
Happy Memorial Day 2025

Jack straightened it up!
