Good Morning everyone! I wanted to start a new blog in anticipation of my trip to Benson on Wednesday. I’ll be going to Kartchner Caverns State Park with RVW. Here is my site: I’ll post another picture from the same spot with DAISEE2!
I’m looking forward to this trip. I’ll be seeing Bill and Cathy on Sunday night. I’m going to plug in at their house. I’m taking Metaxa with me. Here are the temperatures for that time:

I was reading old blogs and ran into this picture:
I thought this was a great comparison of DAISEE BF and DAISEE2. I really did love my Born Free. It did me well, but DAISEE2 is better for me now. It is newer and very road worthy. I’ve read things on line about the Thor Brand, but so far, I’ve had no issues and I hope that will continue.

Got to Kartchner at 12:30, left at 9:30. Here is my first picture! I ate my salad in the overflow parking lot, but my site was available. I’m blogging at 2:30. Electric and water attached. Fans running. No need for A/C at this point. I love it here!

I used my phone for navigation. My GPS doesn’t like the way we came. Went through Tucson on Oracle by Catalina State Park. Took GRANT over to I 10 and drove down to Benson. I think the gas price is $2.65 – $1.00 less than MESA!!!!!
Compare this one with the one above with Mama & Papa! Got my electric and water set up. I was a little forward, but I didn’t want to move the rig and risk losing this:
I’ve heard women complain that the sites are uneven. My site has a bit of a dip at the front, but is flat where I am. I’m just glad DAISEE2 is as short as she is. After walking around the campground, some of the sites are pretty uneven. Mine is pretty good! As I said, the big beautiful levelers are still in storage!!!
We went to the Discovery Center, Sue, Rose & Me. The shop was closed so I’ll need to get a sticker the next time I go there – probably Friday after the tour. I think I’ll buy a TEE Shirt this year too. Anyway, here is a picture I got Sue to take under the sign: I really did smile, she just caught me not smiling!
Metaxa is being so good. I really think she likes these little get aways. Here we are “resting”: She has awakened me numerous times two days in. I hope that changes as time goes on.
Good Morning Everyone. It is Thursday, October 30, 2025. The rally starts today at Happy Hour. Ladies will be coming in today. Sue, Donna & SIL, Rose and Kathy and I are already here. I’m excited. It’s this temperature this morning:
I was awake in time, but decided to skip the meeting and Jeff covered – thank you JEFF JONES! I’ll go on Sunday (at this moment I’ll be there) and the time changes so I get an extra hour! YIPPEE!
Metaxa got me up a bunch last night. I hope that settles down as days go by. But here she was this morning:
I have no idea what today will bring, but that is half the fun of it. I need to go set up my camp with chairs etc. I think I may put out my rug. It is still NOT WINDY here! WOW!

Good morning it’s Halloween! My temps this morning.
Jack said it was 56 in MESA! Wow! Never thought that would happen. Today we go for the tour, play BINGO and do the POTLUCK! Busy day!

This was taken from the Overflow Lot that I waited in on my first day here. Ate my lunch there and then went into the campground. My site was available! It was pretty empty that day, but it has filled up pretty well over the last few days. Still lots of sites available though!
Met a new member yesterday, she is Patti Wilkinson – first time at a rally. Husband died so she travels with 2 dogs and a PARROT!!! She lives in Tucson near Catalina State Park.
She has a very cool THOR Class B: Scope. It is very cool. I bet is was over $100K! I really like it, but still happy with DAISEE2. More space inside. But the Scope would be easy to drive.
We played BINGO and Rose went over and picked up the Parrot!

Metaxa was a little better last night but got me up a couple (4) times. Now she sleeps!

We took the tour to the BIG ROOM yesterday. It was really interesting. Our guide was Mike. He was pretty good. Nice and informative. He’s been doing it for 9 years!

I’m looking forward to going to Bisbee today. I hope it doesn’t get too warm in the rig for Metaxa. I’ll close the blinds and open the windows. She should be fine! I decided NOT to go to Bisbee. I just want to chill with Metaxa! Instead of going to Bisbee, we looked for a Geocache and FOUND it!
It’s Sunday, November 2, 2025. It’s my last day at Kartchner, but I’m just travelling up the road to CT-RV to spend the night with Bill and Cathy. I’m not leaving here until 12:15 or so. They are going to church and won’t be back until 12:30. So I’ll wait until they get back to travel over. I may stay a few minutes in the overflow lot again. We’ll see. Right now I’m waiting for the meeting to start but look at these temps and look at the time: 5:47AM!

I made it to Bill and Cathy’s about 12:15PM. I didn’t back it in – Bill did it for me:
We hung out under their carport and just caught up. Their summer was great. A few mishaps but mostly a great summer. Cathy loves her job and Bill is just happy to be a 76 year old still working. It’s good for them! Bill cooked dinner on The Blackstone – he loves it and has a great time doing it:
The most delicious dinner of Salmon, Asparagus and Potatoes all on the Blackstone!
Rich took the porch down – the screens and put the screen door in front of the front door. He repainted the house too – it looks fantastic – he is in California now.
The color is really nice – hard to describe and this picture doesn’t really show it. I’ll try to get a better picture tomorrow. Right now, I’m going to go to bed and read a bit and then sleep through the night I hope!
So today is Monday, November 3, 2025. I’m at Bill and Cathy’s waiting for them to get up so I can drink their coffee. I didn’t want to bring out all of my STUFF! Anyway these are the temps this morning:
