We did a new LANDSCAPING JOB today. I saw this in Benson and it got me thinking how cool it would be to get some cacti in the yard – I missed our Saguaro so I wanted another one:

This was how it was when I lived there:

Jason Ghormley arrives with the goods:

I paid $200 for these two cacti: Short one is a Mexican Cordon: Also known as: Baja Saguaro:

Notice that is says it will grow 2′ a year. A regular Saguaro grows about an inch in a year. So I have it on the calendar to measure it each year on this day!
The tall one is a Cereus Peruviaus:

We got the bonus picture with TROUT!
Here is a picture of the location of the short one:

He dug the hole a little deep so it’s a little lower in the ground than we wanted it, but it will do:

We’ll keep the stick in for support and to measure it as it grows!
He gave us this chart to show how to water it and other plants:

Very helpful for us!
Here is the tall one out my window:

I am really happy with these two new additions to the yard. Here is another picture of the short one:

He wrapped the tall one in the stuff you put under carpet (padding) so that it wouldn’t poke him:

This was a lot better install. He admitted he hadn’t installed many cacti – maybe his first time. Anyway, here are a couple of videos of his work:
Here is the short one going in.
I need to remember that they need to be longer to go on with the thumbnail. Oh well!
Really happy with this $400 investment. Adds so much to our backyard!
Saw a video about this campground in Verde Valley. No hook ups but looks very cool and there is a stream that runs through it. It’s a little dicey getting into it – dirt road, but would be fun to go to and it’s up near Payson.
This is the video about it:
I got the Waggle Camera to work:

This is the greatest tool in DAISEE2 for Metaxa. I love that it takes such a great picture!
Got this great picture of all 3 cats in MESA: I’m going to try to get it to be on my phone: Can’t do it, it’s horizontal and not vertical. Dang.

I went to Mesa Marketplace with Genie yesterday. Found these great flowers:

No watering needed!
Beginning this on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. The RVW CAMPSGIVING begins today. I’m going to drive out there around 4PM to say “HI” to everyone and I’ll participate on Friday. It ends on Saturday.

There are about 8 rigs and will be 12 ladies for Thanksgiving Dinner. I’ll go back on Friday to participate.
Here is a picture Sue took of the group waiting for dinner. It looks like they enjoyed it. Jack and I went to Black Bear Diner for dinner. It was great. Had leftovers:

Ziggy liked the bag! Zena helped him!

Sue sent me this picture from Usery:

There is nothing like a desert sunset or sunrise for that matter. Beautiful!
I went over to Usery to hang out on Black Friday. We went for a HIKE – 2 hours! Anyway, this was the group minus me:

Rose, Sally, Kathy and Sue. It was a great day for a hike! BUT I’m so out of shape – it took a lot out of me, but so glad we did it!

I feel so blessed to have this park so close to me in MESA. I love living here!

Here is a video of our hike:
I guess it’s considered a “short” even at 3.24 minutes. I need to find out how long they have to be to make the thumbnail.

This is CAT’S PEEK.
We could see Lost Dutchman along the hike:

We took a bit of a rest and you can see Lost Dutchman even better:

We drove over in my JEEP to the Trailhead Staging Area. First time using the back seat. It reminded me of a CLOWN CAR!

RED loved being with the ladies at the Pavillion:

This is a map our our hike from ALL TRAILS. We actually hiked around Cat’s Peek North:

Went to Usery this morning to celebrate Shirley Lyon’s 92 birthday:

I took LUCI to take to Amato to De Anza!

Here is the cake all lit up!

Even LUCI enjoyed the party!
