Happy DECEMBER 2025! I love the month of December. I’ve said that every year for the last few, but it’s true! So today, I’m starting with a picture of last nights’ sunset:
It was pretty great. I sent this picture to Sue at USERY and she said – I can’t get up I have a dog on my lap! Sounds familiar!
Metaxa wanted to sit in the sun yesterday. SO CUTE!
I was supposed to take DAISEE2 to USERY this morning for 2 nights, but I cancelled. Too close to my trip to AMATO on the 10th, but I’m going to go over and hike with Sue around 8AM. It should be fun. I’ll take pictures. We’re supposed to try to get to WIND CAVE. We’ll see how that goes!
Sue and I made it to the WIND CAVE trail:
It took us 2&1/2 hours to do it. Once you’re on the trail you can’t get off until you return to the trailhead so it was difficult. We ALMOST made it to the Wind Cave but not quite:
We had some difficulty staying on the trail and had to back track a little. The weather was perfect though and I’m glad I did it but I’m hurting a little this morning. I don’t think I need to try it again anytime soon!
The views along the trail were really great. We could see Phoenix spread out and I’m still amazed that we have this beautiful park so close to my home. I am really blessed, but I think I’ll stick to the Blevins trail!

I’ve had a large screen on the top of my desk for the longest time and the cord to it was chewed up by the kitties so it wasn’t able to be plugged in. SO I finally took it down today and it opens up the space above the desk now so I put another picture up there. Of course it took 2 times to get it right and it is still off a little. And Jack gets screwy about it so we’ll see if he tries to straighten it up for me. Time will tell! I’m anxious about going to Amado on the 10th. I’m looking forward to that trip. But before that I have my BIRTHDAY on the 7th – 75 years old. WOW!
Good Morning! It’s FRIDAY – TGIF – December 5, 2025! It is cold here in MESA – 42 degrees! Not going to sit out on the front porch today! Put on the heat in the Arizona room and we’ll sit out there and drink coffee but it’s a little dark still. I have a cat on my lap keeping me warm – thank you Metaxa!
Look what Bill and Cathy and Winston got for Christmas!
They found it on FB Marketplace and drove 3 hours to pick it up near Lake Roosevelt! They made it home:

I went to USERY this morning for a HIKE. It’s the first time since last March or April that it was cool enough to hike. I did go last week with Sue, but on my own, I haven’t gone. So TODAY was the DAY!

Today is Sunday, December 7th and I’m 75 years “young” today. WOW!
Janet sent me this picture from when we were at the Grand Canyon. That was a GREAT TRIP!
This would be fun to do one day. Probably not going to happen but never say never!
