I’m going to Lake Pleasant Regional Park today, Monday, September 30 to April 1st to meet up with Bill, Cathy and Winston who are on their way to YNP for their 20th Season. I’m excited to go, but I won’t have Metaxa which will be sad for me, but I need to get used to travelling without her. One day, maybe we’ll have the little kitties in DAISEE2. Gonna try it at the end of July for the first time when we go to Fool Hollow in Show Low. That will be interesting!

This is where I was last time I was here. I saw this:

Looking forward to seeing some burros again. Time will tell. Gonna take a shower now and continue this when I get to Lake Pleasant and I’ll be using my “little white” computer to continue. See you later – come back!
I have arrived at Lake Pleasant at 10:30 and my site won’t be ready until 1PM. Yikes! Oh well, I can blog in DAISEE2 while I wait and this is my view:

I am using my tiny Bluetti for power and I’m blogging on my little white computer. It is much slower than my other computer but I’ll get used to it after a while. I want to take this one to YNP in June. I have to get used to the keyboard. I was having trouble getting on to the internet because my VPN was blocking the internet. I need to remember that happens. I seem to have it all “under control” now. Although it does feel like the keyboard is HOT. I’m not sure about that, but we’ll see. My tiny Bluetti is down to 78% after about 1/2 an hour. But I have a bunch of other power banks I can use. I think I’ll bring out that little GREEN one that I call my “back up to my back up” as Roger Williams would say. It’s getting warm in the rig just sitting here. I think I’ll try to open the windows and get a little air moving. I think it’s probably pretty warm out here, but we’ll see. It’s 11:20 right now. I’ve touched base with Jack. I need to remember to turn on my GPS on my phone so he can “track” me on my travels. I think he likes to do that.
I just opened my cab windows and the door. It is pretty breezy up here where I am so it’s nice to get the air moving. I plugged my weather station into the green baby and it is showing 86 out and 83 in. I’ve got my solar light charging at the door. It is warming up – 86 inside now. I closed the front windows because I am seeing flying bugs around and I don’t want them in the rig. I miss Metaxa being in here, but I did travel without her periodically. I just plain miss her though. She was such a great lap sitter and the little babies aren’t there yet, not sure they will ever be. Time will tell! They are beautiful though:

I’m glad we have them, they will probably out live us. Zena will be 3 on the 27th. Ziggy will be 3 in June (I think) will need to check on that. It is now NOON. I think I’ll go for a walk. Try to close my ring. I can walk down to the marina. Will need to close up this for now. Will start again when I get to my site. Come back!
I am all set up in my site at 1:30 and now I’m on STARLINK. Much better connection than my Hot Spot! I do not have a nice view of the LAKE from my spot, but it’s only for 2 nights so that is OK. I’ll go for a walk around the campground. I think I was just ABOVE where I was last year. I expect Bill, Cathy & Winston at any moment. Right now my A/C is running and I got to say it feels pretty good. I am set up with water too. I had to turn on the spicket. I’ll go take a picture of my set up!
Here is my site:

That was my bathroom last year where I picked up RED:

I need to remember to save this each time I add something because the computer turns off on it’s own. I think it may be overheating. That will be a drag!
Here is a picture of my RAMADA so I don’t need to use my awning!

B & C & W made it:
Just got a great tour of their new rig. It’s beautiful! It’s pretty empty because they have all their “stuff” in the one in storage in Idaho. They have sold it to a guy coming to YNP in the summer. Cathy has a new job this summer and they may end up leaving their JEEP up there for her to drive during the summers since they have the “beater” JEEP to drive around in the winter in Benson. So that will be interesting!
Sidebar: this picture showed up somehow and I thought I should put it here:

So funny! Aren’t we cute!!!! Now back to this trip: This is B,C & W’s site right across from me.

My tablecloth fits perfectly:

This is from the bathroom above – the one down from me last year. My rig is right across from B,C &W.
I’m home from dinner – Cathy made a beautiful COBB salad for dinner. Delicious. I brought Cheesecake:

Gonna close this down now for the night. I’m leaving the A/C on all night to see what happens. It cycles on and off so it isn’t so bad. I might turn it off later, we’ll see. Good night! Come back in the morning!
Good Morning everyone! It is now Tuesday, March 31st. I am up for my meeting and I am going to use my phone because this computer isn’t set up for ZOOM. We’ll see how that goes! My coffee is brewing! Smells so good! Here are my temps this morning:

I have my door open now to get some air flow. It’s getting a little lighter. I think I heard a burro talking this morning. I can hear someone’s A/C running. Mine is off. It is cool in here so I guess that’s as it should be. I’m not sure what I’ll be doing this morning. I may touch base with Shannon. If we don’t get together, that’s ok, I’ll just hang out and do some walking around the campground. It is pretty hilly so it is a bit of a work out. Sometimes I can’t believe how “out of shape” I am. But I guess I should remember that I’m 75 now which is pretty old!
Marie just sent out the agenda for Dead Horse Ranch next month. There are a lot of choices for activities. I sure hope it is cooler by then. I don’t like that it is so HOT so soon. Not a fan of that. It’s hot enough in the summer without it being so hot so soon – only APRIL!!!!! I think B & C are up, but I don’t want to disturb them, so I’ll stay here and just blog until they are up and out. I suppose I should get dressed. I hear a burro again – so cool!
This is my view from my chair this morning:

As I was sitting in my chair this morning I saw this:

I was telling Bill that I never noticed how close I am to this ramada. I backed in and missed the ramada. Wow! What a lesson. Always get out and LOOK first! Man oh man – TUG! So this morning I bought a new toothbrush and water detectors to put in the rig under the sink in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. I also have one that I can put by the water pump.
Bill and Cathy and Winston are on their way to Yellowstone. Stopping in Page, AZ tonight. I did get a video of them leaving this year but I can’t access it now so I’ll put it in later.
I went for a walk this morning after they left:

While I was walking I saw this:

It was at site 22. I knocked on their door but no one answered so I walked down to the HOST in Site 2 and showed her the picture. I thought the one on the ground was dead, but when I walked away his ear twitched. But it looked pretty sad and I think the other two were standing vigil. Bill told me that they plan on killing a number of these burros here. There are something like 2200 of them which are too many for the area. Jack thought he heard they were going to relocate them. So who knows what the outcome will be for them. It is sad if they are going to kill them. I suppose it’s cheaper than relocating them. I hope they round them up and let people take them for free to a good home. I may need to keep an eye on this story. I think I’ll ask ChatGPT:
👉 In short:
Most of the burros you see around Lake Pleasant are going to be captured and relocated, with many eventually put up for adoption, while only a smaller, controlled number will remain in the wild.
Well that is better than killing them. Hopefully many will be adopted.

I can’t get over how low the lake is. Last year the view was like this:

This year you can see how very low the lake is by the shoreline showing a very sandy view. It’s pretty bad. We could really use some good, soaking rain. Not the pathetic rain we’ve been getting today. Now I see a lot of blue sky and I guess the “rain” is over.
It is now April 1, 2026. I left Lake Pleasant a day early because it was going to be hot there and I don’t think I would have enjoyed staying in DAISEE2 when it was hot, even with the A/C going. Plus the guy behind me got a little weird. But it was a bad time to leave. By the time I dumped, I didn’t get out of there until 2:45. Then I needed to get gas – $160.00 – 35 gallons – I was afraid I might run out! Anyway it wasn’t until 4PM that I got home. GPS had me get off the 101 and then get back on right away – weird. Then there was a couple of other slowdowns. But anyway, I slept much better in the house in the bed with our A/C on! This morning it is 68 degrees. Much cooler. I hope it will be like that next week when I get to Dead Horse Ranch State Park. B, C & W are here today – leaving for UTAH today sometime:

When we go to ZION next year, we should stay at Wah Weap Campground. Bill and Cathy say it is great – they stay there every time they go to YNP for the summer. It looks much nicer than that funny place we stayed in Page last year:

Looks like my Waggle Camera hooks up to our WiFi at home automatically. I went out to DAISEE2 to check her out and noticed the BLUE light on the camera. Took this picture:

The place where I took Metaxa on her last day sent me a card with a paw print and nose print of her so she is now traveling with Domino and Bamboo in the rig. I’ll get some ashes from Wylie one day and I’ll put her in the rig too. So I’ll be traveling with my 4 little buddies each time I go.
Update on the sleeping burro – all was well with him. I saw the group eating together at another site at the park – TUG!
I took a picture of Zena and Ziggy eating – boy are they big (especially Ziggy!)

We picked up Metaxa’s ashes today. Very nicely done!

Today, Saturday, April 4, 2026 in DAISEE2 by WAGGLE!

Mammoth Mine RV Park across from Lost Dutchman in AJ. I need to try it one day.

Still doing Jig Saw Puzzles on the iPad. Love them – so relaxing!
This shows all of the State Parks and their location in Arizona:

The RVW ladies went to this campground last New Years. I should go there sometime – looks pretty cool! It isn’t so far away and I could scratch off Nevada then!
Here is another place to explore one day!

I may get a lap cat afterall – he stayed for about 10 minutes:

Our cactus out front has some funky flowers on it – not sure if they are “to be blooming” or have already bloomed. Some cacti bloom for just a day or so:

This is where I’m going next week on Wednesday to Sunday:
Bill, Cathy and Winston have made it to Yellowstone National Park. They said it feels weird not having snow along the road, but I think the snow on the mountains is beautiful!

I can’t believe it, but BOA is recharging me for that $2200 Thai Airways Ticket! So that is going to be a fight. I may need to pay it and then get a credit for it, but we’ll see how it turns out. I may be able to call PAYPAL to get it reversed also. Anyway, more will be revealed! BUT TODAY is camping day! Going to Dead Horse Ranch State Park. I’m arriving 1 day before it starts which makes me happy. I like doing that, although I’m not the only one doing that – it looks like half of us are doing it and Marie and I will get together for a “foot soak”! Oh well – not a favorite thing but it’s good to do that kind of thing to support others.
Got my key chain from NOMAD BRAD!

It’s On The List!
