Happy Father’s Day 2026. I thought I’d start a new blog since the last one was about my fantastic trip to Yellowstone National Park. It was really an amazing time. I need to put that in my BLOG LOG! If I can find it again……..
I found the picture of Mom and Dad and cropped it to show just him. I put this picture on Facebook. I have now started a folder with Family Pictures and will put them in there so when I want to use one, I can find them easily. As it was, I scrolled through a bunch of pictures before I found that one. I should do that today and move some pictures in there from all of those pictures I have on the computer.

Today is Monday, June 22, 2026. Yesterday was the first day of summer so the days will get shorter moving forward! YAY! I went to the gym today for the first time in about a month. It was better than I expected. Made it the entire 35 minutes on the treadmill. I am happy I “broke the ice” because I really need to exercise and driving to the gym is simple and I love it because I have it all to myself. Had to lower the thermostat and turn on the fan. Left it on because there was a woman in there that said she would fix it before she left. I can only “believe” that she will.
Jack and I went to Nondo’s for his birthday. It was also Father’s Day so it was pretty busy. We had a great dinner and brought it home to enjoy AGAIN! The Fried Ice Cream was “ok” not as good as Paco and Mom’s in Tucson, but tasty!
I went into DAISEE2 the other day and took this picture with WAGGLE. It’s in COLOR. I can’t figure out why it is in color sometimes and black and white other times. Go figure!
I have the cabinets open because it gets VERY HOT in there. The A/C seems to keep it comfortable. I just hope I don’t break the A/C. Not going anywhere until the middle of July when I’m going up to Pinetop for 4 days to visit Madeline and Robbin. I’m going to the Hon Dah RV Park – across from the casino on the reservation. Not sure what we’ll be doing. I just want to see how the place is in case I want to rent it for a month next summer. Time will tell.

This is a picture of our cabin in Yellowstone on our first day there. Look at that snow! We had two big beds in there, no phone, no TV. It was glorious. It did have a coffee maker with PUCK pods and was VERY GOOD! We loved it there. We even did a Jigsaw Puzzle on the table. It was SO COOL!

Here is a picture of the GREAT BREAKFAST BUFFET at the Holiday Inn Express! It was really super and FREE – although the room was $300 a night so how free was it?
I am still in awe of this trip. Shannon and I travelled really well together. We had fun and she did all of the driving. I really appreciated that. We had NO MISHAPS! That was SO COOL. All of that anxiety was for naught! But I’m still never flying again! I’m just going to Drive Ms. Daisy to the places I want to go. It’s great because I have EVERYTHING in there for many days. I just LOVE MY RV!
The first night we were in BOZEMAN, we went out to dinner to The Local. It was great. I only ate 1/2 a sandwich and the other half we ate on Wednesday while we were trying to get to the Cabin at Lake Lodge. It really saved the day!
My next trip in DAISEE2 isn’t until the middle of July. I’m going here:
Today, June 23rd is Jack’s 76th birthday! WOW – we’re OLD! Just one day at a time! Here is a picture of Old Faithful blowing its top!

We started a new project today. We put up the paper blinds on the window out in the Arizona room because the sun blasts in there in the afternoon and we like to sit in the A/C out there for Happy Hour when it is too hot to sit outside. So we bought 6 new shades:
You can see those paper blinds in the middle window out there. Jack was beginning to install the first window shades. Those paper ones were pretty good though. We bought them when we moved here to shade the windows before we got the window shades installed by Budget Blinds. I think they cost about $3 off of Amazon.

I’m going to Pinetop in July. Looking at the temperatures in the area. It’s looking better and better to get a place for the month of July next year:
