OK, so I did it. I ordered NOMAD Internet. $109 to start and then $145 a month afterward. I’m going to get it before I go to Albuquerque next week to test it out. I had been thinking about STARLINK but it’s about $900 initially and I hate the fact that you need to have all of that cabling to make it work. Plus each time you leave camp, you need to put it away so it doesn’t get stolen. Plus it’s got some issues with connectivity. I’ll keep you posted about how I think NOMAD Internet works. I know it only works with cell towers, but chances are, I won’t be in places too often without service. Kind of excited about it. If I like it, I’ll cancel my MIFI. So I’ll keep eliminating cell charges so my Verizon bill will keep going down.
Metaxa and her protector the Coyote on our front porch. So Odie and Metaxa are doing pretty well, but once in a while (like this morning) she lashes out at him and he runs away and that pisses Jack off. I don’t really know what I can do about that – especially that Jack gets angry about it. This is one thing that makes me upset with this arrangement. I didn’t think I’d worry so much about it, but I do. I’m considering taking Metaxa with me to Albuquerque because I don’t want Jack to be bothered with separating them all of the time, now that Odie gets fed the “soft” food all day long (3 times a day right now). Anyway, I just need to pray about it more!
So I brought Daisy by the house the other day to test out the power. She worked fine. I’ll take her in to the Generator Service place when I get back from my trip next week. I won’t need the generator since I’m going to Las Cruces KOA and then Enchanted Trails in Albuquerque for a week. I’m not reserved for a night on the return trip yet because I’m not sure when I’ll come back. But I will have electric everywhere I’m staying.
I really hate the way these pictures are uploading now on this site, but they do look ok on the phone. I guess I’ll just have to live with that. I’ll continue this later.
