Good Morning Everyone! I’m getting ready to go to Catalina State Park with RVW on Thursday. Can’t wait. I’ve been looking back in this blog and I’ve noticed I’ve been there a couple of times. I love the fact that I’m only 40 minutes away from there now. I think the other times I’ve been was when I drove from Benson. Anyway, every time I see a post about it, I am reminded of being there. Actually, the last time I went I think I was here in Tucson. It was the time I rode my bike to Walmart for coffee (that I’d forgotten) and I mentioned the Loop of Tucson and I didn’t know about that when I was in Benson.
So Jack has been taking his 40 to a couple of car shows on Saturday mornings. Here is a picture of it at the show:

He has done a lot to make it Showable. It really looks great and runs fine. I’m pretty impressed with his skills.
So I’ve been going on hikes at Saguaro National Park. I know I’ve told you it is only 10 minutes from our door here in Tucson. Here is a picture of the other day:

It made me think about volunteering at the park. Another thing I hadn’t thought about, but now I think I want to do that. I went on line to sign up. Still waiting to hear back from them. We’ll see. I might need to go into the Welcome Center to talk with someone. Anyway, there are a lot of volunteer positions. Perhaps I can do that. Time will tell.
Here is a beautiful picture of a Saguaro:

Ran across this picture the other day on FB. Loved this drive too!

I’m starting this again on Wednesday, March 29th. I slept in today and didn’t go to my meeting. I may catch another meeting later – may go to the 319 – haven’t been there in a while. In fact, I may go there now. I’ll be back! I’m now listening to the meeting. A woman from India is speaking – day 39 for her.

When I open my computer in the mornings there is a reminder of what happened in my life in pictures and the above picture was shown. It indicated that it was 3 years ago. So now I’ve determined that today is my 3rd Anniversary of my move to Arizona. Seems like longer – which is a good thing. I’ve done A LOT in 3 years! I bought a house, bought another house, sold a house. Bought a HIKE camper and a truck. Sold a Jeep to get the truck. Sold the HIKE and sold the truck. Bought another Jeep. Traded in a Jeep for another Jeep. Bought a VW to tow behind DAISEE2. Bought DAISEE2 again and now I guess I’m pretty settled again. I noticed yesterday that I haven’t been buying anything. I guess I have everything I need. It is very interesting!

We have a great little backyard here in Tucson. I’m so glad we moved here – and yes by the way, Jack and I got together and it’s working out pretty well. It’s a very good and happy life. And LIFE IS GOOD!
Going to pick up Daisy and bring her home to plug in for my trip. I’ll be back!

I’ve made it to Catalina State Park. It was 11:30 and my site was available so I’m all set up!

My MiFi is so great here! Very quick so it will be fun to do this blog all weekend. I’m going to have lunch now. It’s colder here than it was at home. Daisy says it’s 59 outside and 68 inside. Perfect temperatures!
My neighbor is Jeana from Tucson – on the west side. Here is her rig:

Daisy is happy now!

Look at this cool cactus:

Coolest bird right outside my window!

The sun is going down!

Good Friday Morning – 3/31/23. This was my view this morning! It’s the other side of the mountain from Jack in Tucson!

I’m using my table cloth and seat covers today – they are a little big, but hopefully they won’t blow off!

I’m beginning this again on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Yesterday was a great day although a little frustrating. We started on a hike and it was beautiful. We saw the wild flowers:

It was a beautiful day for a hike. Here is another picture along the way:

I felt like I was back at the Saguaro National Park. This place is beautiful and so close to home!
When we got back after the hike, there was a woman named Deb giving a lecture on maintenance of our rigs. She was featured on Creativity RV the other day and we invited her to come to this rally. She ended up getting a LOT of business. I had her come to my rig and do the ultimate inspection for $220. ($20 tip). She and her partner Paul were super. They cleaned out my hot water heater and you should have seen all of the shit that blew out of it! WOW! She took a video of it because she has a YouTube channel too and puts up instructional videos. I’ll have to check her out if I can figure out the name of it. Anyway here is a picture of her on the roof cleaning the A/C.

I also was told by Paul that the oversized water filter I had could have broken the water pipe so I threw it away and I’m only using the smaller blue one. We determined that there is a leak from the city water hook up through the wall of Daisy. I’m hoping it will dry out ok with minimal damage. Thankfully there is fiberglass mostly, although we did see that there was about 2 inches of wood in the body – we could see it when they took off the refrigerator things. I forget what they are called. Anyway they cleaned out the crud from there too and resealed it. They resealed something on the roof too. Not sure what it was, but it may have been the little fan over the shower – they said there was a crack in it. I didn’t go up to see – had to trust them. Anyway, it seemed that Paul was Deb’s “mentor” and was teaching her as she went. He was Really Cool! I like him a bunch. He’s from Colorado and is missing the snow and all the sports that there are up there. He told me that my hose was broken and I need a new white hose. Mary Mays says she has the best one so I need to go see what she is talking about. I think I’ll put an alarm on this afternoon for a reminder. He told me I needed this for hooking into city water:

I took a little video of Paul cleaning out my hot water tank: It’s at 40% now. I’ll put it in later.
Yesterday we had no internet/phone service. It was really weird. Anyway, we’ll see how long it lasts today. So far so good. The sun is coming up over the mountain right now:

I can now play music too. I’m listening to The Bridge on SMX. So cool. I love this little speaker I gave Jack. I took it for Daisy since we didn’t use it at home that much and the one that Lily gave me finally crapped out. So now I can have music in the rig!
I’m looking forward to Jeeping this morning. Madeline & Genie are driving Madeline’s Jeep. Should be a blast. Looking forward to it and the weather is amazing today.
Just discovered this one today:
I’ll be back later to do more here. I’m getting ready to go Jeeping! Yahoo!!!!
I went Jeeping today with Madeline and Genie. It was a BLAST.

I want a Jeep Wrangler now to tow behind Daisy. I love LUCI, but she would never be able to do this:
Here is another little longer video of the trip:
Here we are at the Arizona Trail:

This is where we had lunch

Saguaro with a mustache

Jack took a great picture of the 40:

We’re looking at a JEEP today. We saw one yesterday, but didn’t pull the trigger on it. But this one looks like it will work:

We think it has the hardware for the Blue Ox Tow Bar. That would save us a bunch of money. We’d only need to get the “guts” of stuff out of Luci. Then I could put her on the market to sell. I’m really EXCITED about this JEEP! YAY!
