Good Morning Road Warriors.
Daisee2 is becoming my own. I put some art up and I’ve got her mostly as I want her. We’ll see how she drives next Sunday when I hit the road to Flagstaff. I was watching a video by Robin from Creativity RV and she usually boondocks but couldn’t stand it any longer in CO. It was HOT, Buggy and Dirty. So she went to an RV Campground and used her “Campercard” for a discount. I have that one too. Also, Eric from Nomatic Fanatic couldn’t stand AZ any longer and is on the road too. Carolyn from Carolyn’s RV Life put out a video the other day explaining why she thinks RVers are giving up the RV Full time life. I considered it for a while, but realized quickly that I needed a HOME BASE. I love where we are in Tucson. Especially with the hot weather this summer. It’s over 100 EVERYDAY here. Can’t wait for the cool weather.
On my visit I took a video of the inside of DAISEE2 as she is now:
Here are a few pictures from my visit today in DAISEE2: This is the weather station while I have the A/C on with the generator:
Weather Station:

For some reason, my pictures need to be uploaded to my computer to add to this blog. I preferred it when they just downloaded to the lower part of the screen. It now is a 3 step process. Oh well!

I didn’t take a picture of the Orange bordered picture I had in Olivi@. I’ll add that next time I go to DAISEE2.

Personal pictures for my trips.

This is where I put the plaque from the Naples Group that has all of their signatures on the back:

Storing the towels in the bag and also using the little “fish hook” for a hand towel.
I put the Haitian Painting in the bathroom:

I ordered a cover for the fans through AMAZON. It has magnets on the edges and can be rolled up some when covering the fan. I will probably just take it off, but it can let in some light if you wish. I’m debating about getting 3 more for the other fans. I’ll just see how this works for the time being before I order more. I’ll keep looking for something too, but it does “black out” the fan:

Jury is out on this. I’ll keep you posted. I like it and I don’t like it. We’ll see what wins out. I’ll be back another day to add more. In the meantime, thanks for visiting! I ordered two more.
I received this from my brother Bill yesterday:
I can’t get it copied here, but believe me it was pretty stunning!
If you can copy it into your search bar you will see snow and ice in Yellowstone! I think it’s too late to go to Yellowstone in September – I certainly don’t want to drive in SNOW AND ICE! So I’ve decided to cancel my trip to YNP this year. I’ll just need to be content to watch YouTube videos and try to live vicariously through those videos. So the fun begins to get my money back. So far I’ve canceled the Flagstaff KOA and got most of my money back. The good news though, is that I’ve made the trip on Trip Wizard so I can bring it up again if I decide to go up there next year or the year after. I think next summer, our big trip will be to Kentucky. I planned that one a while back on Trip Wizard too, so that should be easy to resurrect.
So I cancelled all of my reservations for the trip. Got all of the money back except for about $200 for fees. So that is pretty good. AND I have an itinerary for when I’ll go another time.
This was my project for today: Drink holder in bedroom:

Yesterday, John installed our 30Amp box to plug in DAISEE2 overnight so we don’t blow the circuits in the garage and my room. Here is his handiwork – $300 – a lot better than the money I paid in Benson!

We used our new “Coffee Table” today! I LOVE IT!

Bought the coolest thing for DAISEE2. I want to display my magnets and continue to buy them on my adventures so I got this:

Today is Friday, August 11, 2023. Only two more days and I’ll be on my shake down cruise in DAISEE2. Today I’m obsessing about where my hand held vac is located. I can’t remember seeing it.
I think I may need to do this on my stove – we’ll see!

I found a way to get questions asked about my rig. I learned this on FB. So FB can be helpful at times!
