RV Life with DAISEE2 #65 Sunday, September 10, 2023

Today is the day I was supposed to begin my 5 day trip to Yellowstone National Park. I’m glad I cancelled the trip now, but I’m kind of sad about it too. I have to wait until October to do another trip. But the weather should be cooler by then and I’m going to Catalina State Park which is only about 40 minutes from here. If I had gone, we wouldn’t have:

ZENA!

It’s getting better everyday between these two:

Yesterday they played with one another. Zena is relentless and keeps following Metaxa around the house to beg her to play. Metaxa just usually ignores her or just swats at her a little. She doesn’t give up and seems to take it pretty well. She has a great personality. Very sweet and loving. And she is growing up pretty quickly.

I’m going to try to get reservations at Kartchner for Thanksgiving. I know that is a holiday, but I would guess we’ll do Thanksgiving at Bill and Cathy’s. At least I’m planning on that. I’ll make the reservation and we’ll take the kitties with us. By then they should be pretty tolerant of each other.

I discovered a place in Ashville to stay when I visit Suzee:

Saw this on FB and it looks pretty nice. Maybe we’ll get there next year if we take that Kentucky trip. Time will tell.

Trying to make reservations on line for Thanksgiving at Kartchner. I can’t do it, so I wonder if that means there is nothing available. If that is the case, I’ll put it out there on the CampScan to see if something frees up for us. If nothing else, we can just drive over for the day with B & C. I’ll keep you posted!

Beginning again on Monday, 911. Here is a video about 911:

So I made a reservation at the KOA in Benson for Thanksgiving. I’m going to try to see if it is on Campground Views to see what the layout is. We’re supposed to have a pull through. Which is good since we’ll be towing the Jeep. YAY!

They are doing pretty well. Still not “THERE” yet. Can’t wait to be able to leave all doors open all of the time. Maybe a week away.

So Jack has found another kitty that is a male being fostered by the same woman who fostered Zena. He is a beautiful cat. But I think we should pass on another kitten. Metaxa is just now getting used to Zena and bringing in another kitty would be hard on us. Plus 3 kitties in and RV with two adults would be a challenge. So I’ll need to let him know of my decision this morning.

Janet finally put some pictures in our “shared” folder and I love this one:

This was taken in Sedona at that weird place I stayed. I do miss all of that beautiful wood that Daisy had in her. But I have lot’s of pictures of Daisy for my memories!

Another great video about 911 narrated by Tom Hanks:

Last concert in Arizona – March 2023

We had a beautiful sunset last night:

Cathy sent a great Sunrise picture from YNP. I was supposed to be there right now:

Well maybe next year!

We’re considering getting another kitty. Metaxa doesn’t want to play with Zena much and Jack really wants a boy kitty. So we’ll see. There is a sweet little boy being fostered by Michelle who fostered Zena and hopefully he’ll be like Zena – friendly and kind. I’ll keep you posted.

Zena has a new trick:

Zena jumps up on the box and then on the stool and can look out the great big window in the bedroom! It’s to cute!

Another 911 movie:

We’ve decided to get a playmate for Zena: Meet Bobby (we think we’ll call him Bubba).

He looks like he has the same type of fur as Zena. He is so cute. The foster mom said he isn’t as socialized as Zena was so it might be a bit of a challenge, but keep praying he accepts us and enjoys Jack’s company. Fingers crossed. UPDATE: He has ringworm. He’s on hold right now.

Put Zena in the rig today:
