Good Christmas Morning Everyone. WOW – what a Christmas for us. We have a new house and are dreaming of how everything will be set in it. In case you missed my video of the new place, here it is again:
The rooms are smaller than our townhouse in Tucson so that is going to be an adjustment. All of the art will probably not fit. We do have the extra Arizona room which is really nice – not sure how cool it will be in the summer, but I guess we’ll find out. Thinking about where to put the kitty litters – I know I’ll be able to put one where it is now, under the side table next to my desk. The other one is up for discussion. Also trying to fit the Berkey in the kitchen somewhere. I’m thinking behind the wall on the pass through. I don’t think there is a space by the sink in this house. Anyway, it’s gonna be FUN, FUN, FUN to organize a new life for all of us. 3 cats, 2 adults and an RV, a 40 Ford and 2 JEEPS! Wow – we have a LOT!

The difference between this floor plan and our house (not including the price) is that the patio has been converted into an Arizona Room and the garage has been expanded a bit and there is a “workroom” in next to the utility room.

It’s Wednesday, December 27th and TODAY we have the inspection of our new place in Mesa. We won’t be there. Jack has a Dr’s appointment and then wants to go to lunch with his buddies. Julie will check on it when the guy is done. Then we get the written report. $410 for the inspection. And so it begins……….

Tried to let Taxi into the room last night with a bowl of her food to munch on. It didn’t work. She wanted out of the room so I was back on the couch with her. Luckily the couch is great to sleep on!
So the kitties are getting better and better. There are ups and downs but Ziggy is determined to get Metaxa to like him. Zena has already done that, Metaxa tolerates her really well – but Ziggy has been a different story. BUT This happened today:
Ziggy got to stay there for all of about 45 minutes and Metaxa just kept “resting”.
We are waiting to hear back from our inspection “demands”. We’d like a new water heater installed as the one at the house is 13 years old. We also want them to repair the roof and fix the double tapping at the electrical panel. So here we go:

Today is Sunday, December 31, 2023. Tomorrow will be 2024. What with that bring? An election in the US. Can’t believe Biden is running again. He is SO OLD! I want to vote republican and I’m leaning toward Nikki Haley. Don’t want to vote for Trump because he is who he is. But may have to. Time will tell. Not sure I like DeSantis. Anyway, we’ll be in MESA then so that will be interesting. Just getting over a VERY HOT summer. I just read that last JULY was the hottest in all of history. So I guess I can survive it. At least I can keep DAISEE2 plugged in with fans going or A/C on.
Now I’m concerned about my money. I can’t seem to get hold of Brian. I thought if I texted him, he would respond but not so. Still nothing. I don’t want to contact his father but I may.
We’re still waiting to hear back from the seller on our inspection report. At this point they have until Tuesday to respond so I guess they’ll take the entire grace period. They may do nothing and it will be up to us to fix the electrical and the roof. The water heater can wait we hope.
