Good morning everyone.

So it’s been 2 weeks that we have been in Mesa and it feels like home now. I’ve got my bookshelf finished, my chatzki shelf done and the breakfront completed. We got rid of all of our boxes – some guy came by and picked them up. Jack put up all of the yard art so that is done. I bought Jack a new computer. He had to get a new email – his q.com could not be brought over – at least we couldn’t get it to work – plus it was an old Quest email that probably doesn’t exist any where any more! So now he is using gmail. But it’s still hotrodsandharleys1950@gmail.com. I sent out a notice to his buddies yesterday for him telling them that it was new and to update their address books. Hopefully they will do that. Next I’m going to get his FB account on there and we will need to get his bank account set up also. It’s been fun doing that and his computer is really nice. Not a laptop but a desk top. The screen is almost as big has his Mac was. He needs to get used to the mouse, but all in all it’s a pretty good thing.

I’m chairing the meeting this morning so I need to go, but I’ll be back later – after my walk. I made it to the library yesterday. It is really close and I have a library card now. I’ll probably ride my bike there today.

Just checked my Investment Account and all my money is back in there. So now we watch it grow!

I’m going to put this on FB Marketplace. We have no place for it in our house here and it’s just taking up space in the laundry room!

We went to Home Depot and Lowes today to get some “stuff”. We bought a shed to be delivered by Lowe’s ($78 extra!!) but at least Jack will have his shed:

Just another thing for him to put together. It’s good that he is so handy. Like having Bill next door to build my shed in Benson!

I’m still setting up Jack’s computer. It now has access to ebay, FB and Chase. Now if we can only get his buddies to use the new email. I think I’ll email him now so he feels he can get emails. I just found out that Sue Shaw has an Mac. So I might be able to get info from her. Texted her – waiting to hear back.

I took my 7th walk this morning, but I guess I didn’t start my app so I don’t have a map of it. Found a picture of it afterall:

I also got this picture of Metaxa in her little corner, waiting for me to either let her drink from the sink, or eat a snack:

The shed arrived at 2PM:

It was the only thing on that great, big truck. Jack and the driver carried it to the back yard:

Patiently waiting for Jack to put it together!

The floor is on the raised slab. It will fit perfectly on that slab! YAY! It looks like it is pretty heavy duty and won’t buckle like the one I had in Benson. That is pretty cool. And we have a small wooden shelf that should fit inside of it along with the rakes and shovels etc. LIFE IS GOOD!

I fell asleep on the couch this morning and woke up at 6:15 so I missed the meeting. Oh well – others will step up. Didn’t mean to do that though. I love starting my day with that meeting.

Jack is playing with Lloyd today and so I went on a walk to Farnsworth Hall to check our key cards. They work great. I saw the pool:

This is the ONLY way to have a pool – a community one. There were only 4 people there and they were all in the spa. The theater is in this building also. All of the other craft rooms etc are at READ Hall. It was too far for me to walk there also today, so I’ll go on my bike there at another time.

I stopped by a garage sale on my way back. Looking for drawer organizers but there wasn’t anything, although the garage floor was an epoxy and just BEAUTIFUL. I took this picture along the way so I can see I’m heading in the right direction – only a block from my turn onto El Paso.

Look how tall those palms are! Amazing!

This was my 8th Walk:

Made it over 2 miles!

Today is Saturday, March 2, 2024. We had a woman come by to give us a quote on vertical blinds. We had another woman come by yesterday from Budget Blinds and she quoted us $2700 for 3 windows. It was high, we thought, so we called Blinds to Go for another opinion. Lisa came by today and quoted us around $600 for all 3 windows! So guess what, we went with her and it’s only 3 weeks for delivery as opposed to 6 weeks from the other guys – which by the way, I still haven’t seen the quote from her. Anyway, a second measuring will take place on Tuesday and the order will be placed after we pay the 2nd deposit. This is the color we chose:

We put up the shed yesterday. It was a little complicated but we got it done: I took a picture of it from the park, but it’s too dark to see it. I’ll take another picture of it today.

I walked around the park 3 times and it’s just a little more than a mile:

But that is a little boring, but if Jack joins me, it would be fine.

I caught Metaxa in her favorite morning spot:

Here is my 10th walk. I’ve lost 2 pounds!

I’m still out of shape but I think I’m getting a little better. Now that EVERYTHING is hung and put away – yes in 3 weeks – I can get into a walking routine. I want to do it before it gets so hot. So when it is hot, I’ll still want to walk – will probably go at 6 in the morning before the sun comes up – or maybe after sunset. We’ll see. I just ordered a safety strap to wear in the dark.

I just turned on the refrigerator in DAISEE2 for trip this week. We tried to check out the State Park yesterday but they turned us away at the gate – must have been an event or something so we couldn’t check out the campground. I have no idea where we’re camping, but I’m sure I’ll find it without a problem. The Lost Dutchman State Park is only 12 miles from me here in MESA. That’s even closer than Kartchner was in Benson. SO HAPPY with this MOVE!!!!!!!!
