RV Life with DAISEE2 #84 Tuesday, March 12, 2024

Well Daisy and I are home now. She fits in snug as a bug in a rug:

I have an appointment to go to State Trailer on Thursday at 1PM. Jack said it’s supposed to rain on Thursday. I never worry about that, but he always does. I guess it’s the Hot Rod Cars and don’t drive them in the rain thing.

I just ordered those cool solar lights that Sue had by her rig:

I made the mistake of ordering on my phone and they kept my Tucson address as the shipping address so now I’m hoping I can change that – otherwise they’re going to Tucson. I think I’ll try to get a phone number to call. I’ll be back. Phone would not go through but it might have been because they were closed. I’ll try them again tomorrow. All is well. I called them and they changed the shipping address to MESA and I have a confirmation. Whew!

I got $64 more on my SS this month. Don’t know why but I love it. It will come in handy and I’m sure I’ll spend it wisely! Going to go out to Daisy now to check her battery. But I’m first going to start the wash. I love my little Laundry Room!

I went for a walk yesterday and felt “out of shape”. I’m hoping that now that we are “settled” I can get into the pattern of walking. I have to get up at 4AM to make my meeting so I might try the exercise app I started before the time change. Today will be the first time I used it in 6 months. But here is a picture of my walk yesterday:

I walked down the Nature Path that is in our community. It was nice. Once I get a route, I can do it without thinking about it. Let’s hope! I just got a chest light for walking in the dark. I charged it up and found out that it doesn’t work until I take it off of the charger – who knew! Not sure I’ll ever use it but will keep it in Daisy when I travel. I can at least use it to go to the campfires at night.

Luckily my exercise routine was only 10 minutes today. Boy – OUT OF SHAPE! Hopefully it will get better. I’m starting again at 180 days. So I guess that means if I use it during this time change I’ll use it for 180 days. But now that I’m here in MESA, I’ll be able to do it everyday whether it is the time change or not. I just need to get into the habit. Was looking for the JUSTFIT picture and ran into this one. Look how small little Ziggy was!

SO CUTE!

Sue sent this picture of the double rainbow at Lost Dutchman.  My rig is on the far left.

I went for a walk today and ran into an Estate Sale. This is what I bought: I was looking for drawer dividers and I bought “The End of the Trail” for Jack = $10 total.

When I got home this is what I found:

Taxi in the CENTER:

Today is Friday, March 15 – Beware the Ides of March – and Daisy is at the shop. I hope they fix her problem. This is where I’ve taken her:

We went there last weekend during their “Grand Opening”. They are new to the area. They have branches in Utah and a few other places. I like the place because it is so NEAT:

And CLEAN!

Now to have them be knowledgeable about what is happening with the RV. They don’t work on the truck portion of the rig – just the “HOUSE” part. I guess if I have a problem with the truck, I’ll need to find a FORD dealer. $1200 for repairs – 2 new batteries that need no maintenance. Found splits in roof so they will fix those areas. SO Daisy will be better soon. Probably pick her up on Monday.

I found this video of Domino in the house in Naples:

Domino drinks from the fountain!

Yesterday, we had a car show and Sock Hop at our community. This is how they set up the room for the party (we did not go to that).

It looks pretty nice. Then we participated in the car show. Here are pictures from that:

Anyway, I thought it was pretty good – Jack not so much. But his car tied with best car voting with the Camero. But he left – due to a starting problem – and the other guy got the prize – golf balls and a round of golf – he wouldn’t have wanted that anyway.

More pictures of the cars:

For our first show, I thought it was great!

Found this YouTube video about 10X Campground – where we’ll be in September:

I did a 13th Walk yesterday. It was a great day for a walk!

Here are a couple of more pictures from the Car Show:

Jack’s Engine!

Jack’s car and the one with the white top tied for “Best in Show”. The winner got golfballs and a round of golf. It was good that Jack had already left because he doesn’t play golf and the other guy does. So it worked out great. That was pretty exciting that he won, although he didn’t admit it. I hope they have a write up in the community newspaper about it. We’ll see – I’ll keep you posted.

And finally:

Today’s boatload of cuteness!

We needed another piece of Cowboy Art in the house. So we found this one; Texas Ranger!

Ziggy and Zena have their own “spots”: Ziggy on the shelf by the pass through:

Zena on the stool that matches her colors!

We went to pick up DAISEE2 from State Trailer and now she has 2 new AGM – NO MAINTENANCE Batteries. SO $1200 and we’re testing how well she manages her charger from the sun and OVERNIGHT. We’ll plug her in tomorrow or afterward:

I think I found my route for my walk – it’s 1 mile out, 1 mile in.
