Good Morning Everyone,

Spring has sprung in Connecticut!

Dick sent me this picture today.  I really miss Daffodils.  Not to be seen out here in the wild west.  Not sure why that is.  Maybe I should try them in my garden in front of my house for next spring.  I think the dirt out here is not rich enough.  But Cactus grows really well.  Here is a picture of the cacti I “saved” from the side of the street.  It’s growing so well!

I also got some “trees” from Arbor Day Foundation and planted 3 of them here.  I’m not sure what kind of trees they are (don’t remember) but we’ll see if they survive.  I suppose I’ll need to water them.  But also, Spring has made it to the West too:

This is the terribly messy tree in Barb’s yard that reaches into my yard.  It’s a very full tree that shades very well in the summer.  Here is a better picture of it:

When I was at Kartchner this week, I swear I saw the leaves grow overnight in the trees by my site.

This morning I got up to watch the funeral services from England of Prince Philip.  He was 99 and married to the Queen for 72 years!  YIKES!  That is longer than I’ve been alive.  The Queen is now 95.  The service was AMAZING.  I got it on YouTube from the BBC.  The filming was spectacular and the weather was just beautiful.  The bluest sky!  Anyway, I felt like I was at the service it was so well done.  Here are a couple of pictures I took with my phone of my TV:

This was outside St. George’s Cathedral.  The pageantry and beauty of the service was awe inspiring.  Philip had planned everything in advance and even designed a Range Rover to carry the coffin.  Let me see if I can get a picture of that – it was so cool:

I can’t ever see this type of history here in America.  The coverage was super and I feel as though I was there.  The BBC did a wonderful job.  And Buckingham Palace!  WOW!

View of Buckingham Palace and the Mall during the Queens 90th Birthday Celebrations.
Her Majesty’s official 90th Birthday celebrations ended with an impressive display of 15 different types of aircraft, five of which are being provided by squadrons celebrating their own 100th birthday.
Starting at 1pm, eight ‘elements’ consisting of between two and nine aircraft each, passed over 30 seconds apart from one another and included helicopters, fast jets, World War II aircraft, the Voyager, a C-17 transporter and the Red Arrows.

Obviously today due to COVID there was none of this crowd there.  It was so well done!  Just incredible.  Here are a couple of pictures I took of the TV of inside St. George’s Cathedral – the colors were spectacular!

And this choir was so good – they sounded like an entire choir but were only 4 voices and one of them looked like he was about 15 years old:

Life in the age of COVID. I’m going to go get the video of the whole service from YouTube. I feel like I just saved myself about $3K by just watching the service – WINDSOR CASTLE – WOW!

Here is a video I made by taking a picture of my TV:

Somehow it won’t embed. But I saved it in my library. The link may take you to the whole service.

I was going through old pictures on Google Photos and ran into a bunch of pictures that I’d forgotten about.  Here is one:  This is showing my Harley and my Scooter.

I think I was planning to keep both of them until I wrecked the Harley and did this to myself:

Ugh!  It could have been a lot worse though.  I was really blessed when that happened!

I guess that is about it for today.  Thanks for visiting.  Come back again soon!
