Good Morning People! Thanks so much for visiting my site. Well I picked up Mama Bear from the dealer yesterday. She is now home again which makes me feel really good. I love looking out my window from the kitchen and seeing her in her “spot”.
I do have a couple of confessions to make though. When I was bringing her home from La Mesa, I took a turn too early and ended up driving through an RV park with “speed bumps” throughout. I ended up on a little street with a dead end and had to back up to get turned in the right direction. What a stupid thing to do, but the positive thing was that I did back her up without incident and was merrily on my way. So next thing I did was get her home and put her in her spot and when I was trying to unhook the hitch, it fell off of the blocks and ended up with the electric hitch fully extended and my truck would not get under the hitch – it was too high. So I called my guy Rick (he is the guy who sold me my house and is always helpful) and said I needed a truck that would fit under the hitch so I could straighten her up.

So I have a dental appointment this morning and Rick has physical therapy and we wouldn’t be able to do anything until the next day. So I ruminated on it and figured that I could figure something out. So I called Bill and he walked me through fixing it. He said that when he gets back he will help me with a different set up so I don’t use the wood blocks that can slip. When the hitch lets the truck loose, the camper sometimes jumps a little and it has fallen off the blocks more than once. So now I’m going to put the blocks parallel to the storage bin rather than perpendicular which is the way I’ve been doing it. I can always rely on Bill to walk me through an issue. I may or may not straighten up Mama – but being the OCD person that I am, I’ll probably do it. Oh and one more thing. I ran over my electric cord and had to buy another one. Luckily, Elite RV Service had one – $100! Expensive mistake. Plus, the crank gave me a big skin tear on my leg. That is what happens when you “rush”. UGH!
On another note. I have a “home gym” now. CT-RV bought vibrating platforms for an exercise class and they are giving them free for 2 months to “try them out”. Well, I went to the class and I am HOOKED. The platforms vibrate your whole body and tightens up loose muscles. The videos that we watch are 10 minutes. I’ve decided that is my limit on exercise – except the 20 minute round trip to the trash. Anyway, I bought one (of course) and I think I’ve talked Diana into getting one. Here is my “home gym” set up:

I originally had it set up by the dining room table, but figured that I could use the dead space behind the couch. It works like a charm. I’ll come back to finish this. I have to go to the dentist now.
Here is a picture of the platform:

There are about 6 other platforms. Many bigger than this. I got this one because at the time it was the cheapest ($130) and it is able to fit in the camper for when I’m on longer trips, like the one to Michigan in June.
So I’ve been meaning to get a map of the National Parks. I got this one and it is “scratch off”. I wanted to see where the National Parks were and using the ATLAS is difficult to determine it. SO this one works great! I have 3 scratched off: White Sands National Park in Colorado, Saguaro National Park in Arizona and Everglades National Park in Florida. 59 more to go. I’ve been to Yellowstone and the Dry Tortugas, but I wasn’t retired or camping at that time so it doesn’t count. I doubt I’ll get to Hawaii or American Samoa. But you never know:

There are plenty out west for me to get to. In fact, if I go to the trip I have planned this month, I can get to the Petrified Forest National Park. More will be revealed!
