Hey folks! Thanks for coming by and checking out what I’ve been up to. I was supposed to be camping today – planned to meet up with Susan in Colorado and then travel back to Arizona to meet up with RVW in Williams, AZ and take the train to The Grand Canyon. Well the Colorado trip got cancelled due to bad roads washing out but I’m still going to Williams to the RVW rally. There are 28 of us attending this weekend. It’s exciting. I’m bringing Metaxa with me and I’m hoping the temperature is going to be cool enough to leave her one day while I take the train to The Grand Canyon with the girls. It doesn’t really matter because I’ll have electric and I’ll leave the A/C on if it gets to hot. But looking at the weather it is supposed to be in the 70’s which should be fine!
It will be fine! And I don’t think we need to really worry about rain either. But I’ll keep you posted. I plan to blog from there. I have no idea about whether I’ll have good internet, but I’m going to assume there will be some. If not, no biggie. I’ll just take care of everything when I get back to Benson.
So I’ve been keeping myself occupied by doing Jig Saw Puzzles. Jan gave me the idea. I originally started this one:

I just got that far and decided it was never going to be finished since the autumn leaves were all the same and I’d never have the patience to finish it, so I returned it to the Clubhouse (The Barn). So then I got another one – The Harbor. The last person who did it, put the framing pieces in a zip lock. I’m going to do that from now on when I get a puzzle. Anyway, it took me 7 days but I finished it TODAY!!

It is really addicting! And fun! I did coloring to pass the time when I first got here, but ever since I got my cataracts done, it’s difficult to color. Or maybe it’s just that I stopped wanting to color any longer. I did so many projects that I started running out of room to hang them on the wall. So now it’s puzzles. But I did learn a good lesson in that it’s important to be sure there are lots of items that help with the puzzles – the harbor was fun and easy to do. Now I have to decide whether to start one before I leave camping on Wednesday. Time will tell. I sort of need to keep my mind busy before I take off, otherwise I’ll end up putting too much in the camper thinking that I’ll need what ever it is, but really I don’t. Still trying to decide whether I’m going to take the bike. I probably won’t and I hope I don’t regret it.
Anyway, there was ONE missing piece. It’s funny though. Every time I couldn’t find a piece I kept telling myself that it was “missing”! As it turned out, I thought there were 2 missing pieces, but I did find one on the floor, so it left just one missing:

While looking on the floor, on my hands and knees, I found a piece from the first puzzle so I can see how pieces get lost. I took it back down to The Barn and put it in the box. I’m glad it was still there. Then I discovered a couple of random pieces in the closet where the puzzles are so I guess it happens a lot – very frustrating though! I took a picture of the missing piece and I’m going to put it in the box with the pieces so that the next person doesn’t get frustrated by not finding the piece.
Suzee sent me this picture from the beach at Naples:

I’m sure it was more beautiful than this picture shows, but it is still nice!
So I’m starting this now:

I’ve decided this puzzle is too hard to do. All of the pieces are the same shape. It’s too hard to get them connected. It’s going back tomorrow.
So I wanted to see what it was like to hang out in Mama Bear in a rain storm. Actually it was pretty cozy!
Starting this again on Monday, September 6, 2021. Happy Labor Day! I’m beginning to gather stuff up to put in the camper and I need to go to the store one more time before tomorrow because I want to hook up Papa to Mama tomorrow so I don’t have to deal with it on Wednesday.
I was walking down to the trash yesterday and saw for the first time this beautiful rock:

It is in a little path leading from Barry’s park model. Can’t believe I’ve walked by this everyday and never noticed how beautiful this stone was! AMAZING!
So I did decide to do another puzzle. This one is difficult also, but I’ll work on it little by little. Whoever put it back in the box decided to keep big hunks together and I would have ordinarily taken them apart, but it’s good to have a “head start” on this one:
Check out the price on this puzzle – $1.19!! It probably is really old! Hope all of the pieces are in it. I have found a “blue” piece that doesn’t seem to fit in this puzzle – I guess I’ll know as I complete it. Here are all of the pieces that were still together in the box:
So my system is to use my screens to lay out the pieces in color patterns and then I try to fit them together. I’m at this point right now. I’m finding it a bit difficult.

I’m going to hook Papa Bear up to Mama Bear today. I have most of the food in her. The fridge seems to be cooling too cold – I hope it doesn’t “freeze” my food and drinks. I’m not sure how to fix that and I know it will warm up some when I get on the road and it’s on propane. I’ll keep checking it. It’s been pretty hot here and I’ve been putting on the A/C during the day. So far so good.
So as I go to my exercise class, I noticed this near the roof: For some reason, I can’t get the video to work here. I’ll try again.
They are so cute! 3 little baby swallows!
So here we are:

I hooked up Papa to Mama so I’ll be ready to take off in the morning. I wanted to do it today so I don’t “panic” tomorrow. I was even able to get the sway bars hooked up. Now I can just do a few things tomorrow with less stress starting the day. The only “stressful” part will be getting Metaxa haltered and into the truck.
I was walking back from the trash yesterday and took this picture:

I never noticed this view of the mountains before. Gorgeous! I guess it’s because it was such a clear day! I love where I live!
