RV Life with Mama & Papa #35 Saturday, September 11, 2021

This is a photo of all of the faces of the people who died on 9/11/2001.  I’ll never forget where I was when it happened.  It is now the 20th Anniversary of the event.  God bless America!

This is the picture I posted on FB this morning:

Railside RV Ranch:

I am at Railside RV Park today with Mama & Papa and Metaxa.  It has been a wonderful trip.  Yesterday I took a 2 hour train ride up to the Grand Canyon.  The trip got to be a “little long” – as Sue said – that ride was just 1 hour too long!  Anyway, we had a “host” named Dennis and he kept us entertained with facts about the Grand Canyon and a “treasure hunt” along the way and various other things.  He gave us souvenirs of the trip – a book mark and a plastic cup that has the Grand Canyon Logo on it.  I also bought these:  See below:

I’ll add those later when I get a better internet connection.

For the collection – Patch magnet and sticker!

Tee shirt, mask, souvenirs from our HOST Dennis:

Anyway, this picture is available now and here I am in all my hiking glory!

Nice look! It’s supposed to be hot at the top today!

The Grand Canyon was really amazing! I took 6225 steps yesterday. The closest to my 8,000 step goal so far since I got my new fitbit knockoff watch.

I took a bunch of pictures and videos at The Grand Canyon: here is the first one:

Holy Cow! Many more to come!

So this proves I was there:

Selfie!

More views of the canyon!

Amazing view!
Another amazing view!
And another spectacular view!

One more:

So beautiful!

Here is a picture of me taking a picture:

Me taking a picture

I’m gonna come back to this place again sometime. It is really cool. I want to go to Bearizona today. It’s a wildlife drive through park where we can see wild animals. I did see on elk from a long distance from the train station at the rim, but it was too far away to really get a picture of it, so I’m hoping for a better look today where I can take some pictures of the animals. I love it up here in the pine trees. I’m going to see if I can get a long term spot next summer up here so that Susan and I can travel together. It might be easier than going all the way up to Denver. We’ll see. The town here is nice. Lot’s to do around the area. Only downside is the internet is spotty and not all that great, but maybe by then I’ll have a better internet set up. Got to have my computer!!!!!

So this is one of the ways we were entertained on the train:

Getting robbed on the train!

Then on the way back at 5PM this guy robbed the train with a couple of other cowboys.  They had 2 robbers riding horses along side the train like they were going to rob us.  It was cute.  They also had 2 guitar players on each trip.  They did what they could to entertain us.  We had to wear masks on the whole trip.  Good news though, I sat by myself in a seat, so they limited the number of passengers on the train due to COVID!  I need to leave now.  I’ll be back – going to try to set up my trip to Bearizona today.  Plus I’m going to take a shower in Mama Bear today – wish me luck!

Bearizona was wonderful.  We saw all types of animals.  I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!

Entrance to Bearizona

We saw a bunch of different animals.  Here are the pictures:  OTTERS

And there were Bison too!

Bison in Arizona – not Yellowstone!

Leopard:

Leopard

It was so still, it seemed like it was “stuffed” but I took a video of his/her movements. He/she was in the same open area as the Jaguar.

This proves the leopard was alive:

Here is the one male Elk in Bearizona:

BEAR!!!!

Then we got a great shot of a wolf:

Next we went to town.  Williams is right on Route 66.  SO Funky!  Had a blast.  Pictures to come!

My new boyfriend!

Fabulous store:

Loved this really funky store:

Such a cool store!

So here was an interesting sign – Rooms $3.50!

Cheap Hotel!

Local Entertainment!

COVID has put a cramp in everyone’s style, but we were able to enjoy the place despite that.
