RV Life with Mama & Papa #6 Saturday, March 20, 2021

Hello COVID-19 Warriors.  Day # 372.  I think that after next Friday when I get my 2nd COVID Shot, I’m going to stop counting days.  We’ll see – time will tell.  Anyway, I got the final piece I needed for my camping gear:

I got the Tonneau cover for Papa Bear.  I needed Bill to get home so he could help me attach it to the bed of the truck.  He did all of the work, but I helped.  Here is another view:

I now have all of my gear.  I put 2 milk crates tied in with a strap and moved them to the back of the bed for easy access – great idea Bill.  I can put groceries in there rather than in the cab now.  I put the bin with my cooking gear in it.  I put the two huge leveling ramps and the welcome mats and my bag chair.  That clears out a lot of the storage bin in Mama Bear.  Plus it helps me with the quick set up at camp once I get to my final destination.  I’ll be testing it all out on Tuesday when I go to Kartchner Caverns State Park for a night with Metaxa.  I brought her into Mama Bear today while I tested my phone “hotspot” for internet and the Jackery for running my computer.  I’ll bring the computer to Kartchner because I’ll be at a site with electric.

I spoke with Bette & Suzan today and they were taking a drive to the Everglades:  Here is a picture they sent:

Super shot of the swamp.  They said it was a beautiful day in Naples.

Here is another shot:  See Below:

We discovered that we had the same temperature – 76 degrees with very little humidity.  I know that won’t last in Naples, but the higher temperature here in Benson is a welcome relief.   But it won’t last long either – cooler temperatures are coming next week.  It’s actually going to be in the 50’s on Wednesday morning, which will make me want the heater on in Mama Bear.  Since I’ll have electric, I’ll use the radiator.  We should be nice and cozy in there.  I’m looking forward to having Metaxa with me.
