#238 Good Morning Sunday, August 2, 2015

Good Morning World,

It’s been a week since I’ve “blogged”.  I’ve been busy and my computer is “acting up”.  I need to take it back to the computer place and have it “re-cleaned”.  It has something to do with my email.  At least I know that now.  And I’ve figured out how to alleviate the problem and that is to close down my email when I’m doing other things.  Only problem with that is many times I’m waiting for an email from someone to finish the project.  But my phone seems to be fine, so I can check that and then open my email on the computer.  We’ll see how that goes for a while.  I hate giving up my computer.  So now I’m obsessing about my “desktop” computer.  I need to “trash it”.  When I do that, I’ll need to take out the “hard drive” so I can get rid of it.  I may need a little help with that.  But that’s a project for another day.  I do like the LG Screen it has.  When I upgraded to the faster Xfinity DSL, I now have no need for my wireless router.  I wonder if I can sell that some how.  I’m not sure I know how to set it up anywhere and whether I can explain how it works.  I may have a book on it in my storage area where I store stuff like that.  That’s for another day too!

So now there is a new FB page for “Sisters in Sobriety”.  A new women’s meeting at the Serenity Club on Saturdays at Noon.  I’m going to try to get to that meeting on Saturdays.  I met Heather the other day at the Sister’s By the Sea meeting.  I think I’ve seen her around before, but I’m not sure.  Anyway, she posted this today and I thought this was cool:

I designed a new “Banquet” ticket for the Sister’s by The Sea event that is at the end of this month.  I love my new “Publisher” program on this computer.  It has so many cool “templates”.  I just take what they have and add to it.  Jona and Tracey like the tickets.  I think I’ll add the date of the event on them and then I’ll print them and cut them up for the badges.  I need to remember to tell Jona that I only have 100 plastic badge holders.  See how my mind works – little thoughts come out of nowhere and now I’ll go send her a quick email.  Be right back……

Urrgggggggggg!  I had an email all typed out and my email stopped working, frozen, then the message disappeared and now I have to write it all over again.  SO FRUSTRATING!  I swear in my retirement I am going to take a GOOD class to learn how to eliminate viruses on computers.  I’m sure Gary could tell me but I can’t follow him.  But I’ve just thought about Michael Junkroski.  I’ll ask him for a tutorial – he used to do that sort of work before he became our Senior Pastor.

So here is a picture of Betsy and me in our “bathing suits” for Sisters By The Sea.  We wore them to the Cookie Meeting last Thursday.  It was WAY out of my comfort zone but I did it anyway.  Maybe I’ll wear that outfit on the 20th when I speak at that meeting……what do you think Steve?

So I better wrap this up for today.  Time to get ready for church.  I’m running projection.  I’m hoping one of the new MCC members will like to do that.  It would be nice to have someone other than Joe and me doing it.  Too bad we lost Roan when they all went to a different church.  It was much better having a “kid” do it.  So thanks for visiting!  Have a wonderful day!
