#311 Good Morning Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Good Morning World,

Today is our District Inventory at our District 20 meeting.  I think I’m ready for it.  We’ll see.  It’s just a little different than we’ve done before and I believe it is the first one we’ve ever done.  Since our District is only about 5 years old.  Then on Sunday we have our Workshop with Don F giving us the History of AA.  It’s gonna be an interesting week.  Plus on Thursday, it is our Celebration night with cake and I get my 14 year medallion that night.  I was at the 5:30 Gratitude Hour meeting on my anniversary, July 22 and they gave me a medallion that had been “recycled”:

I got the bracelet from Haven.  Nice!  I had almost forgotten that it was my anniversary last Friday.  Anyway, I’m so grateful to have made it passed my 13 year issue.  Now I’m into my 14th year and looking forward to my 15th and so on!  Life is good!

I wanted to make this post all about Cierra:

I love my new motorcycle and it really is fun to have.  Now I’m trying to determine if I should keep Red2 and also Cierra (Feminine for Black).  Interesting day on Saturday.  Roy and I went to the 8AM meeting and then we decided to go to Harley.  I had to go back home to get my stuff for our Workshop meeting at 10:45 so I met him later at Harley.   He spent money on shirts and a new jacket.  I ordered a clock for my handlebars.  I wanted a gas cap that could tell me how much gas was left but they don’t make one for a Sportster (Cierra is a Sportster).  I’ve also been told that you shouldn’t put a windshield on her.  So I guess I’ll just have the helmet with the visor.

I’m out of time.  I’ll continue this later.  Thanks for visiting.

I’m continuing this on Wednesday, August 3.

Today is Dick’s birthday – he is 68.

I knew that plant shelf would come in handy!

My Elf on a Shelf!  Still can’t believe he painted my whole house (minus the bathrooms – still not painted) last year.  Actually I think it may have been 2 years ago because this will be their 3rd winter down here and he was working with Habitat last year.

So to continue about Cierra.  I was riding home 2 Saturday’s ago, after having stopped numerous places on my way, and the engine light came on.  So instead of going home, I decided to ride directly to the garage – Everglades Motorcycle.  It was a good thing I did that because when I parked her, she wouldn’t start again.  Now that is what I call a “God thing”.  He was with me and made sure I got there safely.  Anyway, apparently when they gave her the 5,000 mile check up, all was good, but once the engine heated up, it caused the motor to stop charging the battery – or something like that.  Anyway, I’ve spent $600 and I have a new battery and other new parts so she is like “new” again.  I haven’t been able to ride her all week though.  The weather is always rainy after work these days so she stays in the garage.

Now looking at my garage floor, I’m guessing it might be time to paint it.  Sounds like a job for Roy or someone other than me.

Speaking of Roy.  Last night I texted him to ask for help putting air in Ty’s tires.  There was a light on my dashboard telling me that the air was low in my tires.  So he never answered so I went out and did it myself.  So proud.  Now the light is off and I know how to add air to my tires.  Also, the air machine by NAC is only $1.00.  The air machine at the corner of 41 and Rattlesnake is $1.50.  Good to know.

So I’m running out of time.  I’ll leave you with 2 pictures of our recent sunsets:

So now I’m out of time again.  Thanks for visiting!  Have a great day and Happy Birthday, Dick, Rachel and Brian!
