Good Morning Everyone and welcome to 2024! It’s the first day of 2024 – what will this year bring?
Well for one thing, we’ll be moving to MESA. I KNOW – it will be HOT, HOT, HOT this summer. I hope I can travel away from the oppressive heat at some point. The house we are trying to buy right now is smaller than our townhouse but it does have a side yard where DAISEE2 will fit. At least we can plug her in to cool her off when she gets hot inside! Fortunately, when we move it should be cool/cold weather and that will make it easier. I wouldn’t want to move in the heat of the summer.
This is the new house. I’m still amazed that it is smaller than our townhouse in Tucson, but ultimately we’ll be saving money overall because of HOA fees and taxes. It will be fun getting to know a new area also. The roads are so much better in MESA. Cleaner and smoother. Love it!

We finally heard last night around 8PM that the house in Mesa is ours! The seller is doing all of the inspection suggestions except for replacing the hot water heater. We can do that later if needed. The hot water heater is 13 years old, but still working. The one in Tucson was 22 years old and it was still working but we got a new one installed before moving in and paid for by the seller. So we have a couple of years before we need to do that. The first thing I want to do to the house after a year or so, is screen in the back patio. But we need to install a 30 AMP for DAISEE2 right away.
I got notice that DAISEE2’s rent is increasing next month. So I guess it’s time to move!

This was why I was scared to death driving Daisy and Trvaler to Sedona last May from The Grand Canyon. Scary road!
